Last week I got to have the rare opportunity (along with other bloggers including Virginia, Katy, Erin and Taylor) to meet with the design team and other executives at handbag company Brahmin. Brahmin and Vogue invited bloggers to come to the table with ideas on what they most seek in a bag and conceptualize two styles of handbags that will be considered by the design teams to potentially go into production. I had so much fun discussing what’s important to me in my handbag purchases, what we bloggers see as spring 2011 trends when it comes to accessories and overall the distinct qualities we feel bags must embody for us to carry them. Lauren from the Brahmin design team was super talented and bright and such a great hostess. See some of her sketches below and many thanks to Brahmin & Vogue for such a unique opportunity and a lovely evening!
And this is what I call the New York rain dance…
p.s. some handy work of mine can be seen over on Taylor’s blog today. She’s channeling a modern, young Audrey, don’t you think!? (and thanks to Tay for taking the photos seen in this post!)
