Even though we’re just coming out of the holidays, I could not be happier that I’m off on Monday and will be enjoying a long weekend. Which is also why Taylor and I are heading to Washington DC this weekend. We’ll visit some of my family, stay in Georgetown, visit the Smithsonian, brunch and enjoy our nation’s pretty, pretty capitol.
Have any recommendations for us two ladies as we hit the town?! Would love to hear them!

Have you ever been to the Awakening sculpture in DC area? I think it would be an awesome place for outfit photos.

Oh have fun in DC girl!
I personally love the Textile Museum, which is small but I always find their exhibits very interesting. And the Phillips Collection is another one of my favorite places too.
And don’t forget to get cupcakes from Baked & Wired while you are in G-town.

I’ll second the recommendation for Baked and Wired, it’s leagues better than Georgetown Cupcake and there’s no line! Capitol Hill is one of my favorite places to wander around…you can see tons of landmarks plus some great shops (Hill’s Kitchen is amazing) and grab brunch. Also, I love Churchkey in Logan Circle for drinks with friends.

You’re just in time to hit the end of restaurant week here! http://www.restaurantweekmetrodc.org/
Agreed on baked and wired, too. If you’re in that neighborhood, make a stop at Annie Creamcheese!

Textile museum is a yes, Baked and Wired is a yes without the line, Annie Cream Cheese is as over-rated as Georgetown can be (mostly because the real woman behind it lost it in her divorce and she is now doing a small shop in Old Town), but the others of note might be 14th St in DC from Cork to Lost Society.
