  2. Laura Cronin says:

I love dressing up to go to church on Christmas Eve and then out to dinner with my family! It’s so fun to get all dressed up in sparkly clothes or holiday prints and spend time with the whole family together feeling good.

  3. Alyssa Barrett says:

I just love the time between presents and dinner because I get to get dressed up in the most festive clothes. My older sister and I try on so many different outfits until we finally find the perfect one.

  4. Emily says:

Definitely jumpers and tights!! As much as I love pretty things now, I loved them a lot more when I was younger!

  5. Veronica says:

One of my favorite memories dressing for the holidays when I was about 7 years old and I was so excited to wear the Osh Kosh B’gosh denim jumper my grandmother gave me!!! I felt so special because I wanted that jumper so bad!!! We still talk about that day!

  6. Shira says:

Thanks for such a fab giveaway! I think my favorite memory is my bright green lace dress I scored at a DVF sample sale and wore it non stop the entire holiday season:)

  7. Lauren says:

My favourite memory for a Christmas party was buying a really pretty white dress when I was a child. At that time I thought that only red and green were appropriate colors, but my mom reminded me that white is just as appropriate because it is the color of snow!

  8. Kim Pincombe-Cole says:

My favorite memory of ‘dressing up’ for the Holidays is of an event that went wrong! Our friends (who are in politics) were hosting a big millenium NYE party that included a large celebrity guest list. I had searched for months for the perfect gown & scheduled hair/makeup for the evening. The morning of the party, our 1yr old came down very sick with a very high fever & severe ear infection. We were crushed, as we had missed celebrating NYE the year before (our son had just been born 2 wks earlier) and we were desperate for ‘adult’ time! So my husband grabbed some last minute party hats, blowers & champagne at the drugstore when picking up meds for our son. We dressed up in our party attire (ball gown, suit), put on our hats, drank champagne, & watched the ball drop on tv ~ all while laying in our bed with a sick baby. Not what we had planned, but it will always be a fun memory of ringing in the new millenium… 🙂

    • Meghan says:

Aw, what a story, Kim! I love that you guys made the most out of not the best situation! A memory you’ll always have with your little one and your husband- thank you for sharing!

  9. Whitney says:

Too many memories to share! I loved as a little girl always getting a new outfit that matched my mother for the holidays! Whether it was a floral Laura Ashley dress or a red velvet and sequin dress hand made — add some perfect white tights and new special patent leather extra shiny shoes … a glamorous yet festive sight to see at the Holiday party and fond memory to keep!

    • Meghan says:

I have many a picture that includes a hand made velvet dress (with white lace adorning it) and white tights and patent shoes- great mothers we had, Whitney 🙂

  10. Elyse G. says:

When I was little I wore a velvet beret around all season long. I was obsessed with that thing. *fingers crossed*

  11. Shelley T. says:

My birthday’s Dec 19 so my family and I dress up and go out to a nice dinner in the middle of all the hustle and bustle.

  12. My first dance in college was around the holidays, and I splurged on a beautiful purple satin number that I still have to this day!! It fit like a glove 🙂

  13. Samantha says:

My family has been involved with ballet for quite some time, so Nutcracker is a longtime family pasttime each holiday season. Not only have my sisters and I performed (and consequently spent many December weekends in various costumes) for many, many years – my dad has also become involved on stage with my mom’s ballet company. It’s definitely a family affair and it wouldn’t feel like the holidays without sugarplum tutus and mice costumes flying around!

  14. emily anne-marie says:

liked both on fb! and I still love going shopping with my mom for the perfect holiday party dress, my fave is a french connection 3/4 sleeve gold and white sequin dress!

  15. iris popescu says:

I love dressing for any holiday, especially in any type of cute party dresses. My favorite is going downtown looking all sparkly and cute, wearing a holiday dress and stroll down to look at all the lights

  16. My favorite holiday memory surrounding dressing up is every year before Christmas my mom would take me into Macy’s and we would look for a gorgeous fancy dress to wear for Christmas Eve, usually it had to twirl! As an Italian Christmas Eve is our biggest fanciest holiday so I always had to be dolled up! I still take myself shopping for a fancy dress 20 years later!

  17. Cassie says:

My favorite part about the holidays is that it becomes more socially acceptable to wear glittery, sparkly outfits out! My favorite memory regarding one of these sparkly pieces is from New Year’s Eve last year. I went to a Las Vegas themed party wearing a sparkle skirt, tights, heeled booties, a brightly colored sweater – and won big at blackjack! I still attribute my outfit to my win. Look good, feel good, do good, right?!

  18. Courtney says:

I’m all about being sparkly for the holidays!! So anything that is gold & sparkly is usually being worn around December – gold skirts with chambray, gold sparkly dresses, and lots of fun sparkly jewelry 🙂 thanks for this amazing giveaway!

  19. Courtney says:

I tweeted about the giveaway from @ceperk 🙂 Finger’s crossed!

  20. Celeste says:

I have fond memories of choosing a new Christmas dress each year for church & the school recital… I still always buy a new church Christmas dress now. (:

  21. Andrea Ragni says:

One of my favorite holiday memories of dressing up is with my best friend (you know who you are ;)) on NYE. Getting dressed up is always more fun with your girlfriends, some champagne and music to get the party started! And it doesn’t hurt to have double the wardrobe of dresses to pick from!

  22. Bre says:

I tried to post my favorite holiday memory yesterday but the site wasn’t working….fingers crossed for try two. My favorite “dressing up” for the holiday’s memory would probably be last year. I was an intern at the 2012 National Democratic Convention and was invited to the “Celebration of the South” party. Even though I’m not from the south, I ordered the Lilly 50 States Shift Dress. This dress allowed me to celebrate the south while still reppin’ my home state. Even though you’re living the life in a state away from home, its always nice to pay tribute to where your roots are. Dressing up for the Holidays is very important because you see relatives that live across the country. By dressing up in something flashy it gets the attention off the fact that you are graduating in May and still have no clue where life after college will leave you or the fact that you still call home for instructions on how to use the oven. Holidays are all about the memories and a great dress just adds to the holiday magic.

  23. Julie L says:

I remember dressing up for family picturesin this darling red velvet dress with a lace collar that my mom had made for me! When we got home after the pics were taken I remember refusing to take it off! I caleed it my princess dress and faought tooth and nail to keep it on! I loved that dress!

  24. Megan M says:

I work retail during the holidays because I love being able to help people pick out gifts – if I had the money I’d be giving out presents to every single person I know! During the holidays, I always try to wear lots of red and green. Last year I had a red turtleneck that I wore with a big black belt with a buckle – I felt like a young Mrs. Claus! This year my wedding is right after Christmas so I won’t be working retail and I am very sad, it truly is the most wonderful time of the year!

  25. Bryn Asher says:

I always love the shopping for the perfect outfit more than actually wearing it! I spend a lot of time in stores and online finding the perfect dress, heels, and accessories and have weeks to get excited about wearing it!

  26. Marta says:

I have this photo of myself around age 5 at the Christmas presentation for my grade school. My mom says every little girl was in a red or green, festive, often-velvet dress. I refused, and wore a coordinating outfit of pink and orange stripes, with big pink buttons and a white collar. Beat of my own drummer. Now, of course, I love a good party dress – and a good excuse to wear it!

  27. Marta says:

I also tweeted about the giveaway!

  28. Erika W. says:

My favorite memory for dressing up was two years ago when we had a formal ball for my husband’s Army battalion. He had been in Afghanistan and it was so much fun to get a night out and to get dressed up in a gown right around the holidays! The hotel was decorated for Christmas and it was just a fabulous evening!

  29. Jenny says:

We go to dinner at the same restaurant for Christmas Dinner every year and eveyr year we talk a picture in the same spot so I love to get dressed up for this photo and make sure I look good as someday we are going to do a collage with them all!

  30. Roxy says:

We always get my dad to wear a santa hat. It looks ridiculous but it’s so fun!

  31. Anni says:

I remember getting really dressed up a few years ago for a family Christmas party. I don’t remember what I wore but I remember all the 1-3 year old kids dancing on the table after we cleared the food. It was awesome.

  32. Heather B. says:

liked and liked {Heather Beale}! I love any and every excuse to put on sequins and attend all the holiday parties hosted by family and friends. it’s a wonderful opportunity to slow down to catch up with everyone during the hustle and bustle of the season!

  33. Heather B. says:

following and tweeted my dress pick from @moorehe2!

  34. Katy says:

SO cute! I wish I could pull off aviators like that!
