I travel routinely for both work and pleasure throughout the year and have gotten to be an A+ carry on traveler (if I do say so myself). The perfect bag for everything you want tucked under your seat and to accompany your roller bag? The Lo & Sons OMG Bag. It was designed by, in my opinion, a sheer genius as it as so many great features that make it perfect for travel and also my go-to gym bag.

First, the adjustable back panel sleeve works to secure the bag over your luggage handle (ready, set, go!) And oh the pockets! I always hate the feeling when you’re digging and riffling through your bag unable to find anything so the fact that this bag has a main compartment with a padded pocket for your laptop, a smaller padded pocket for your iPad or files, 1 small zipper pocket for keys and other valuables and two smaller open pockets for extras is so.darn.convenient. One more yet even? A side pocket for shoes or heels and a front zippered compartment with internal pockets and a key leash.

I wore this outfit as I headed West the other week to Lake Tahoe  (not first before fueling up at my favorite neighborhood caffeine spot). A cozy tee, deconstructed denim and boots or my chucks have become my go-to when traveling. This other Lo & Sons bag is also on my wish list for future travels. What are your travel essentials?

Outfit: Old Navy tee, Gap jeans (on sale!), Lo & Sons OMG Bag (c/o and on sale now), Ray Ban Aviators, Michael Kors watch, Marc by Marc Jacobs wallet, Converse Chuck Taylor Sneakers

After loving this Anthropologie dress, I wanted to get my hands on another similar silhouette and this Clu dress with the pleated lining fit the bill perfectly. It’s perfectly cozy and yet feminine. I only recently discovered Clu but love the obsession with ruffles (I seriously could lose my mind buying up their ruffled sweatshirts- they’d be so cute with deconstructed denim and booties). I rounded up my favorite pieces of their below.

And onto accessories…during New York Fashion Week I went to a great event hosted by Gigi New York and Yosi Samara and picked up this little monogrammed pouch – I’m in love! (This Gigi bag is on my wish list currently). Paired it with a new pair of Joie heels because I can’t get enough of how comfortable their shoes are (other favorites here and here). They make all this city walking a breeze (no, but seriously).

I am back from a quick trip to Cincinnati and counting down to a low key weekend – I am in need of some R&R and I think I may take myself out with one of my favorite dates…New York City itself!

outfit // bang bang

The other weekend while out shopping I nearly lost my mind in Club Monaco…I wanted one of everything in their Spring/Summer collections. So many effortlessly chic pieces and particularly endless amount of cool dresses. I landed on this number because I loved the sheer hemline and romantic print.

I’m now back in New York City after a whirlwind 9 days in California. It was so wonderful but as per usual, I headed back East wishing I could somehow straddle both cities I love so dearly. I soaked up sunshine, wine tasted, celebrated my friend Annie’s upcoming nuptials on her bachelorette party, celebrated my best friend Andrea’s engagement and birthday (HBD today, A!), caught up with girlfriends over delicious food and walks by the Bay and overall soaked up the benefits of so many special relationships I have with friends in San Francisco. I’m feeling sad to have left but ready to tackle the next couple of weeks of travel, endless meetings and turning another year older wiser.

Hope you had a beautiful weekend!
