I love when fashion comes together with a great cause. To commemorate the discovery of the AIDS virus 30 years ago and ignite a new wave of awareness about the AIDS pandemic with the next generation, I partnered with Kenneth Cole, MTV International’s Staying Alive Foundation and amfAR for the Come Together Campaign.

I am wearing Kenneth Cole’s reinterpreted version of the AIDS ribbon, which now features a double loop symbolizing the coming together of individuals and the re-doubling of efforts in the fight against HIV and AIDS. You can purchase one of your own here! The ribbon will be sold through December 31 and 100% of net profits go to AWEARNESS, the Kenneth Cole Foundation in support of the MTV Staying Alive Foundation and amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research.

I encourage you to buy & sport a ribbon of your own to show your support…it’s time to #cometogether.

This is a little first glimpse at something I’ve been working on with the awesome team over at Kooba. Isn’t this bag a dream? Her name is Maci. More on that soon!

In other news, picked up this dress from Anthropologie this past weekend after falling in love with the color palette which is so perfect for the new season. Oh and these new booties? I blame Helena. (But it’s ok really because I am totally in love with them and can’t wait to pair them with so many things this fall & winter.)

the trends you won’t find me wearing

With New York Fashion Week kicking off this Thursday, the word “trend” will be all over which got me thinking about some of the fall trends popping up lots of places that I just know I won’t be sporting anytime soon. Sometimes it takes quite a bit to admit not jumping on certain fashion bandwagons, but these are the ones I just can’t bring myself to wear.

Any trends you won’t be wearing anytime soon despite their popularity?

Ask w&w: Clutch help!

I love, love, love when I get emails from readers. Truly, it makes my day. A recent reader question called for help. Check out below!

Dear Meghan,

I have a wedding in Scotland coming up in which I’m a bridesmaid and I need a clutch…HELP! I’d like to be able to squish flip flops in it so when we’re walking to Arthur’s Seat my pretty but high heels do not sink me into the ground for an inevitable plummet to a muddy fall. Is it possible?! Any recommendations? My dress is long and a pale green and I’ll be wearing gold shoes if that helps!

This was a tricky one, but here the best clutches I pulled that would a) fit within your color scheme b) appear to squeeze in a pair of flip flops and lastly c) be worth purchasing for future use!
