Guys, I am so excited for Memorial Day weekend this year as I am heading South to New Orleans! I have never been and have so loved getting excited through everyone’s tweets of Musts, etc. If you have any recommendations, please do share in Comments so I can use them as a guide while I’m down there. In the meantime, I thought I’d share some of my packing inspiration. I’m packing dresses and sandals almost exclusively (am a wee bit scared of the heat!), but will have a pair of dressier shorts and wedges thrown in, too, I’m sure.

I’m in love with practically every jacket and blazer that Zara currently has in store and online. The perfect layering piece, a colorful, textured or printed blazer is just what a springtime outfit needs as we transition into summer, don’t you agree?
It’s been ages since I attended as an event as I am still working on keeping my social calendar more trim, but last night I headed up Madison Avenue to Lilly Pulitzer for a night of sipping cocktails among fellow bloggers while hearing a bit more about the brand and checking out their too-cute and, of course, super bright and fun Summer 2012 collection.
More to come soon (including what pieces I’ll be sporting soon!), but I just had to share the most amazing gift the Lilly team sent us each home with…a custom print of ourselves as inspired by our blogs and drawn by Lilly Pulitzer’s Print Designer, Paige Smith…can you believe this!? Isn’t it so amazing? Everything from my beloved aviators, go-to side pony and the trusty stack of magazines…they totally nailed my look and I am so touched & honored to have the framed print a part of my home now.
Huge thanks to the LP team for a wonderful evening and the beautiful print I’ll always cherish. I can’t wait to show you my new pieces soon! xo

First up: My go to uniform: silk blouse, boyfriend jeans + a simple pair of heels.
Secondly, a sassy little cocktail dress for an event that calls for more than just your average clutch.
And finally, a look that easily transitions from work into happy hour or even a bit more of a dressed up Saturday for brunch at Pastis followed by some Meatpacking shopping.

This Thursday evening I’m heading out to San Francisco for the bachelorette party for one of my best friends. I could not be more excited to celebrate her upcoming wedding with my bestest girlfriends in Sonoma. It’s just starting to seem like spring in New York, but already the world of fashion, as we well know, is looking to fall. And if we’re looking at fall when it comes to 7 for all Mankind, it’s looking real pretty. And edgy for that matter.
I swung by the fall 2012 presentation with Taylor last night and saw cords and denim in cool tones (reds, marigolds, teals), snakeskin and coated denim, metallic accents, sheer button down blouses and killer kicks. 7 for All Mankind makes my favorite denim so it was awesome to see their showroom space and get excited about their fall denim. It’s so unexpected and chic that I’m guessing you’ll love it just as much when it stores in late summer.
