Styling two fun and playful pieces from the Chaps spring line today. I paired their versatile and bright pink cardigan with the denim capris for a laid back, Sunday look layered over an equally bright chartreuse tank. The cardigans are so soft and come in a multitude of bright colors perfect for pairing with floral dresses + tanks with skirts this season as well as layering over other bright pieces for an on-trend look.

Outfit: gifted Chaps cardigan and pants, Greylin tank, Rebecca Minkoff clutch, La Mer watch (similar), Madewell flats, Karen Walker sunnies, BaubleBar necklace.

Hope you had a great weekend! It was so beautiful in New York and I loved catching up with some of my best girlfriends in the city.

Bravo recently asked me to style a look inspired by an upcoming episode of one of my must-see-tv shows, It’s A Brad, Brad World (I just adore Brad!) I peeked a few previews from tonight’s episode that will air at 10/9 Central and styled this all black look inspired by one very tall, very super super model. Using my $200 allowance, I went for all black and a brocade-esque skirt picking up this Zara skirt and jacket and topped the look off with a sleek ponytail.

Now here’s the fun part- you can win your own $200 Style Allowance this week thanks to Bravo and WIT & Whimsy!

How to Enter:

1. Watch tonight’s episode of It’s A Brad, Brad World and leave a comment below letting me know which look you loved best from Brad’s clients and/or what you most love about the show.

2. Extra Entry: Follow WIT & Whimsy on Twitter and tweet the giveaway including @meghandono so I know you did so!

This contest is open to those living in the United States and will close at 12pm PST Sunday, April 14th. A winner will be selected and announced the week of April 15th.

Outfit: Zara skirt + jacket (similar), Helmut Lang tee (the softest, coziest basic tee there ever were!), rag + bone boots, Marc by Marc Jacobs bag

I’m a big fan of pairing investment pieces with more affordable items you pick up here and there. For example, this Helmut Lang blazer- while scored at their sample sale in the fall (alongside this one), was still an investment to me but given how often I wear it, I figure it was well worth it. That being said, I love pairing it with pieces like this blouse with sheer paneled inserts and pumps, both from Zara. Dressed down with my favorite boyfriend jeans, the Josefinas from 7 for All Mankind (seriously the best boyfriend jeans ever), it’s an easy outfit to go from work to post-office cocktails.

While extremely expensive, I cannot recommend Helmut Lang’s blazers highly enough. Their are cut to perfection and can be paired with everything so I feel they are a worthwhile investment (but let’s be honest, much better investments when scored at deep discounts at the sample sale!). I have my eye on this one next.

Snapped these photos outside my neighborhood favorite Cafe Ost where Taylor and I often meet up for early morning coffees before we start our days. It’s a tradition I’ve come to love in our little East Village hood (on her blog today, too).

Hope you all enjoyed the weekend- happy Monday!
