Online style community Polyvore is a favorite site of mine and as a blogger I’m continuing to find new ways to make use of it, but today I could NOT be more excited to tell you about the launch of their amazing new Mini Editor tool.

The Mini Editor is a free, easy-to-install widget that brings the Polyvore virtual styling tool to your blog (see below) and lets you style and mix & match items selected by yours truly- great idea, right?!

To celebrate the launch, Polyvore is hosting a contest for bloggers -and their lovely readers! – where you could win $1,000! One blog is going to win based on number of sets and stylishness and if w&w wins, I’ll get to pick one of you guys to win $1,000 too! So let’s get to it…

The other day I wrote about having gotten to take a sneak peek at Nina Garcia’s latest book, Nina Garcia’s Look Book: What to Wear for Every Occasion and how it doesn’t dissapoint (much like the editor’s own look each and every day, if you ask me!)

Now that it has hit shelves, it is easily attainable, but we wanted to give a copy to one of our lovely readers and take the whole go-to-amazon-or-your-nearest-book store out of the equation.

The book is just as good as her previous ones and this time surrounds offering practical advice for every occassion you may find yourself in, from what to wear on a blind date or to a big meeting and what to wear on errands and what to wear when traveling. Nina details how to dress for the right audience and also what rules to break. All in all, another great style book to add to your collection!

In San Francisco, we tend not to have Summer weather until the Fall, so when we do get days that shower us with sunshine and warmer weathers in July, we become spoiled. If you’re like me, you dash to your closet to pull out that summer weather-wear you’ve had purchased for weeks and are dying to let see the daylight.
