So I have decided to bring back the w&w weekly roundup – a collection of items I was loving this week and thought you may enjoy as well. This week felt like a long one. I’ve been having strange dizzy spells which completely threw me off. Anyhow, this weekend I’m looking forward to running my first 5K, doing some cooking and brunching with Alicia at a new spot in my hood.

Back this Wednesday with a Playing Favorites all about one of my favorite colors for spring: orange. Bright and able to be worn no matter your hair color (unlike yellow which sometimes is not the best on moi), I love how fun and playful orange is.

I would also like to call out these amazing sandals with a pop of orange. A girlfriend of mine wore them this weekend and I had major shoe envy.

I’ve had a major European travel bug of late. Between scheming up a trip to Paris with Alicia (hopefully sometime this year!), reading the blog Paris in Four Months religiously, and routinely remembering my days of living in London growing up, I think I’m overdue for a proper trip across the pond. If I were to put together a mini travel guide for London (like I did with Chicago), one stop that would definitely be on there would be Harrods. It’s such an icon of what luxury shopping should be in my mind. Loads of beautiful clothes and shoes in a beautiful and elegant setting.

Between brands like Michael Michael Kors and The Row and a ridiculous collection of Marc by Marc Jacobs handbags, not to mention a divine selection of gourmet foods to choose from (I fondly remember wandering this section of the store with my dad who loves finding little treats), Harrods is such a delightful shopping experience. I was last there in 2006 and as soon as I get back to London it will most certainly be on my must-visit-again list.

This year I vowed to make fitness and overall wellness a bigger part of my life. For the most part I’ve stuck to it and have been working out four times a week, have gotten more into running (this time last year I couldn’t run a mile without stopping or being out of breath, now my runs are over 3 miles and I feel awesome – baby steps!) and am eating more fruits and veggies as snacks. Zara has so many good shoes right now! I bought the second pair shown here the other week and have been wearing them with everything from blank pants + a blouse to boyfriend jeans and a blazer. This year I dedicated some time and money to getting my home a bit more in order. I framed prints I had bought ages ago and hung them (see ‘em here),  bought organizational baskets to have more aesthetically appealing storage options in my tiny apartment and cleared out clothing items (shop ‘em here). I’ve successfully lost my mind at West Elm (SO many good picks right now! I got the pillow featured above along with several others, new towels and new sheets), The Container Store and the likes but I feel as though sometimes little upgrades can make quite a big difference…don’t you think?
