Thanks for bearing with me during the past few days of radio silence. Last Tuesday my world got thrown a major curve ball when I was told that, due to structural damage discovered in my apartment building, I had to evacuate immediately and until further notice. Well it turns out that further notice is looking like a month and I most likely need to find a new place to live. I’ll spare you all the painstaking details that have given me so much emotional distress (literally have either been feeling like I am going to throw up or start sobbing at nearly every turn for the last 7 days – and yes, both did happen – the latter on a rather regular basis) but I’m living at friends’ places until I can figure out my next move and it pretty much is less than ideal. No one likes being a nomad and I just want to find a solution to this living nightmare. Wish me luck will you?

Until some things get resolved my posting will be more limited. I’m living with about a dozen pieces of clothing (how great when you have a fashion blog, right?!) and feeling so stressed/tired that I’m just struggling right now. If you’ve got any good vibes I’d love for you to send them my way! You have no idea how grateful I’d be…

Wore this outfit the other week to work when the weather dipped above 45 and it was like ALL HAIL THE SUN! Ways to get the look below.

Outfit: Banana Republic dress (old and swiped from my friend B’s closet), Joie jacket, Corso Como boots (similar on sale here), Foley + Corinna bag, Warby Parker sunglasses, Sorrelli necklace, Cuyana scarf

I’ve never had a proper weekender. Typically I overpack which leaves me with a roller suitcase that’s not as easy to trot around jumping on a bus to DC or the Hamptons or taking a train up to Boston while weaving in between crowds at Penn Station. Enter this weekender from Sole Society- it’s just roomy enough, has great handles and a cross-body strap and the best part? It’s only $70!

Speaking of weekend travel, I’m the type that has to, has to, has to be comfortable when I’m hitting the road. You’ll never see me at an airport all dressed up so I’ve rounded up some great travel pieces you can peruse below!

Outfit: Aritzia tee (old but love similar ones here and here), Rag & Bone High Rise Skinny jeans, Converse sneaks, Banana Republic coat (old, similar here), Sole Society Cassidy weekender bag (c/o), Ray Ban sunglasses

This coat never gets enough love. I’ve had it for years but haven’t worn it in as long as I can remember so after doing a wardrobe clean out the other weekend I dropped my trusty black coat (recently seen here) at the dry cleaners and brought this guy out of hiding. I think having a camel coat is such a classic wardrobe necessity. You?

I hope you had a great weekend. I’ve got a marathon of a week ahead so I’m already counting down the minutes till saying “TGIF”!

Outfit: Equipment Liam blouse (love this one), Joie Skinny Cargos (on sale!), Banana Republic coat (old but love the similar ones here and here), SoleSociety shoes (c/o – shop a few other favorites below!), Club Monaco hat and scarfSophie Hulme Bowling Bag
