It’s Monday somehow again but I have to say I had such a great weekend. It was the perfect balance of work and play. I went out to Connecticut with some of my favorite blogger gals to a brunch at bartaco hosted by Julia (see some pics here, here & here), got most of my gift guides done (phew!), saw my best girlfriends on Friday night, fit in SoulCycle and hosted a large group over for our weekly Sunday Night Dinner (of which I am feeling the effects this Monday morning-oy).

This LOFT blazer has been on heavy rotation. It looks like the more expensive Helmut Lang version I’ve coveted for a while, but is literally a fraction of the cost and is perfect for this cooler weather. Their collections have been killing it of late (I am in love with this piece I also recently bought.)

In case you haven’t seen it yet…BaubleBar’s latest guest bartender program is incredible. It was curated by Megan Runser who is a longtime BB fan and has been battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She designed it with her Texas roots in mind and all the proceeds will go to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Baubles for a truly worthwhile cause. Be sure to check it out and shop for a good cause.

Have a great start to your week!

Outfit: LOFT Blazer, & Other Stories Blouse, Rag & Bone Jeans & Kinsey Boots (on sale), Sophie Hulme Bag (Mini Version here), BaubleBar necklace (c/o), Banana Republic Wrap Bracelet, Karen Walker Sunglasses

The instant I saw this “coatigan” on LOFT.com I had to have it. Not only was it 50% off at the time but I loved how chic it looked as a layering piece on the model. The name fits it perfectly. It has the weight of a coat but the fit and feel of a heavier cardigan or oversized sweater.

Layered it over this lace crop top that lays perfectly over those silk button downs we all have in our wardrobes. My current favorite is from Everlane and last night I popped by their showroom with Victoria to check out their latest collections. I had actually recently purchased two of their chunky knits (this and this) because I was already dreaming of cozying up in them come Christmas in Colorado. Is anyone else counting down to the holidays? I just adore the time of year!

P.S in case you missed the memos, both Nordstrom & Saks are having great sales with 40% off! I bought these and my favorite tank in another color (I wore it all summer as a base layer).

Outfit: LOFT “Coatigan,” Everlane Blouse (c/o), Banana Republic Lace top, Kate Spade Pumps (on sale – & the classic black is on sale, too!), Forever21 Bag (love this one, too), Rag & Bone Skinny Jeans, BaubleBar Stacked Ring and Crystal Mason X Ring, Lulu Rings (c/o), Karen Walker Sunglasses, Otte Alexis Hat (c/o)

outfit // head to toe

Surprise! It’s an outfit post on Wednesday- I guess you could say I’m feeling like an overachiever this week.

:)

I’ve recently been noticing myself leaving the house in head to toe black ensembles and I think that New York City life may have really seeped into my purchase habits when it comes to my wardrobe. There’s always been that je ne sais quoi about wearing all black and I personally lean towards it given it can be more forgiving than say stripes or a printed top (which are hard on a girl who has a sizable chest and decent curves). My new leather jacket (seen here as well) now makes the perfect topper to any ensemble (I’ve recently paired it with a girly dress and boots and also over distressed denim and a plaid button down.)

And these LOFT pants? I’m in love! First and foremost they have an elastic waist (huzzah!), they are so comfortable and despite being silk- they travel well. Just add a little of this when you unpack them and you’re golden. I love the tuxedo-like trim and paired with the Club Monaco sandals that I had been eyeing and (then scored at their sample sale last week)- I was out the door.

Outfit: Zara top // Vince Leather Jacket // LOFT silk pants // Sophie Hulme bag // Club Monaco Casey Sandals // Banana Republic Wrap Bracelet // Celine Sunglasses (c/o SmartBuyGlasses) // BaubleBar Crystal Mason Ring
