I’m a big fan of pairing investment pieces with more affordable items you pick up here and there. For example, this Helmut Lang blazer- while scored at their sample sale in the fall (alongside this one), was still an investment to me but given how often I wear it, I figure it was well worth it. That being said, I love pairing it with pieces like this blouse with sheer paneled inserts and pumps, both from Zara. Dressed down with my favorite boyfriend jeans, the Josefinas from 7 for All Mankind (seriously the best boyfriend jeans ever), it’s an easy outfit to go from work to post-office cocktails.
While extremely expensive, I cannot recommend Helmut Lang’s blazers highly enough. Their are cut to perfection and can be paired with everything so I feel they are a worthwhile investment (but let’s be honest, much better investments when scored at deep discounts at the sample sale!). I have my eye on this one next.
Snapped these photos outside my neighborhood favorite Cafe Ost where Taylor and I often meet up for early morning coffees before we start our days. It’s a tradition I’ve come to love in our little East Village hood (on her blog today, too).
Hope you all enjoyed the weekend- happy Monday!
