Sayonara, skinnys, because 2011 is the year that wide-leg pants are coming back.

This upcoming trend has me thrilled that I’m a pack rat and have kept lots of wide-legged trousers hanging in my closet. I’m also glad that these little Theory guys will get more play time!

Given that so many beautiful pants are crafted by top designers, but the fact that I so rarely wear a nice pant when it comes to work, I figured others may be in the same boat and looking for affordable alternatives…which brings us to the latest round of Covet vs. Catch.

As noted in a previous post, I see…lots of lady like lace in my future! I’ve already eyed some great lace pieces I’m craving from Joie and Madewell and Lover and Beyond Vintage (ok, so lots…) so when I saw this BCBG little number in my local store over the weekend I knew there had to be a more reasonably priced one out there and henceforth bringing us to another round of Covet vs. Catch. Leave it to Modcloth to deliver a delicate, yet mod shift at a steal of a price.

For the past several weeks, me:sequins = moth:flame. Granted, I’ve always loved sequins, but recently I was on the hunt for the perfect sequin mini which I finally snagged and can.not.wait.to.wear. Seriously, I’m counting down the days till its debut. Now I would have most definitely loved to have had the Haute Hippie one I selected here, I settled for a far more affordable option at the J.Crew outlet last week.

Which brings us to another round of covet vs. catch: the sequin mini edition.
