To say I’m in love with this Vince chunky sweater would be a gross understatement. Since getting it I have worn it so many times and love how cozy it is for this time of year. Alicia and I actually had a whole conversation last night over cocktails about how much we love it as she has it in both colors (gray here). These photos were taken on my first day back functioning like a normal human after a horrible cold knocked me out while home in Chicago over Thanksgiving. Sweaters + jeans = my basic uniform for when I’m home.

How was everyone’s weekend? I spent mine at two holiday parties, packing and seeing Memphis with family!

An ideal summer outfit in my mind? An easy dress with a denim jacket thrown over it. Now that summer is over and it finally feels like fall is officially here, I’m happily sentencing my favorite dresses to the back of my closet for lots of layering, a new coat (I’ll dream about these), and hopefully one of these lovelies.

face lift

This outfit is nothing new (actually the jacket is from middle school…!!), but can you tell WIT & Whimsy has had a face lift?!

My beautiful sister took these shots before a day spent wandering Georgetown and brunching at the too cute Kafe Leopold this past weekend. My brother graduated magna cum laude and is a Fulbright scholar! I could not be more proud :)

p.s. watched Oprah’s Greatest Lessons episode while compiling this post and heard Toni Morrison speaking about her best life lesson. She said it was that she found a space (writing) to own and love and she learned to embrace that. It is the thing she loves best in life to do and that’s why she does it…tis how I feel about blogging, my loves.
