Last week I attended Lauren by Ralph Lauren’s very first runway show to showcase their Spring collection. The show took place atop Hearst Tower and featured everything from carefree cover-ups to swimwear to darling shorts and jackets in seasonal colors. My personal favorite part of the show? The styling. I thought the looks were made so chic by pairing unexpected accessories like beanies with bikini bottoms and heels with motorcycle jackets. It’s inspiring to see what you can do with staples in your closet, am I right? Overall it got me more excited to head to Mexico next month and it was wonderful to be seated across from Marie Claire’s Nina Garcia and Zanna Roberts Rossi.

winter picks

Despite the indian summer that seems to be appearing everywhere (New York and San Francisco included), I know winter will be here before we know it. I actually have been working on an exciting project with a brand I am utterly excited for about accessorizing for the winter season, but more on that to come in two weeks. In the meantime I thought I’d share some of my winter shopping picks. I know I’m going to get a ton of use out of this little North Face jacket that was sent to me by GigaSavvy- it’ll be my weekend go-to for working out and running errands!
