outfit // satisfied

Today’s look is another black, white and red look (a bit different than last week’s) and ever since buying them I’ve been wearing these Joie heels everywhere (here, here).

I had such a satisfying weekend. I hadn’t been in New York for a weekend in nearly 5 weeks so it was the perfect opportunity to see friends and catch up on things. I fit in seeing my friends’ new downtown Brooklyn apartment (taco night!), some shopping (I bought this), a mani/pedi, dinner in the neighborhood, a coffee date, a Flywheel class and brunch with my brother. I’m starting this week happy to know I have Friday off and determined to make this an efficient week to enjoy the long weekend ahead. Frankly of late I’ve been feeling restless and somewhat frustrated by life in New York City so I’m hoping to use Labor Day weekend as a source for rest and inspiration to find that dose of love for this wild city that I know I’ve had before!

I hope you had a great weekend and have a wonderful Monday…

Outfit: LOFT eyelet top (on super sale!), Club Monaco skirt (last seen here), Levi’s jacket (on sale!), Foley + Corinna Mid-City Tote, Joie Remy heels (similar here), BaubleBar necklace (sold out but I love this one) + BaubleBar x Stripes & Sequins ring, Karen Walker Anywhere sunglasses

outfit // spring like + a life update

Thanks for bearing with me during the past few days of radio silence. Last Tuesday my world got thrown a major curve ball when I was told that, due to structural damage discovered in my apartment building, I had to evacuate immediately and until further notice. Well it turns out that further notice is looking like a month and I most likely need to find a new place to live. I’ll spare you all the painstaking details that have given me so much emotional distress (literally have either been feeling like I am going to throw up or start sobbing at nearly every turn for the last 7 days – and yes, both did happen – the latter on a rather regular basis) but I’m living at friends’ places until I can figure out my next move and it pretty much is less than ideal. No one likes being a nomad and I just want to find a solution to this living nightmare. Wish me luck will you?

Until some things get resolved my posting will be more limited. I’m living with about a dozen pieces of clothing (how great when you have a fashion blog, right?!) and feeling so stressed/tired that I’m just struggling right now. If you’ve got any good vibes I’d love for you to send them my way! You have no idea how grateful I’d be…

Wore this outfit the other week to work when the weather dipped above 45 and it was like ALL HAIL THE SUN! Ways to get the look below.

Outfit: Banana Republic dress (old and swiped from my friend B’s closet), Joie jacket, Corso Como boots (similar on sale here), Foley + Corinna bag, Warby Parker sunglasses, Sorrelli necklace, Cuyana scarf

outfit // soho chill

I love that bomber jackets came back over the past year and instead of being reminiscent of your high school hallways, they became updated in cool, more laid back yet stylish possibilities. Paired with a silk button down (it’s a closet staple in my opinion), I headed to get a much needed hair cut (hadn’t had one in six months – eep!) as well as touch up the ol’ blonde this past weekend. This ain’t news to you but it has been SO COLD here but I sort of welcome the seasons after eight years of living in California. It’s nice to be able to switch up the wardrobe and have something to complain talk about, right?

Some other silk button down and bomber jackets I love in the scroll bar below!

Outfit: Equipment blouse, J.Crew Boucle Bomber jacket (on sale!), Paige jeans (similar here and here), Rag & Bone boots, Foley & Corinna bag, Club Monaco hat and scarf, Toywatch
