Whilst we drown in dismal rain here in New York, my California comrades are soaking up sunshine. Hence, I couldn’t resist picking favorites to embrace both weather patterns. We New Yorkers will have to embrace the puddles with cute kicks (I’m living in mine) and all you readers out there enjoying rays, please nab some of these super chic sunnies and wear ‘em with pride (my Stellas are patiently awaiting being taken out again)!

What weather are you having? What are your wardrobe survival pieces?

w&w picks: Best Dressed at the Oscars

I was pleasantly surprised by all the Oscar fashion this year. Nicole Kidman was an utter fail (as everyone apparently agreed with me on Twitter), Resse Witherspoon was a total disappointment and then there were the ones I loved…

Mila Kunis in Elie Saab

She looks so elegant and sexy. Plus she’s just a huge fox. Girl crush!

Cate Blanchett in Givenchy

As per usual, Cate does something unusual and I think this is a total home run. I’m in love with the structure, the color palette, everything.

Scarlett Johannson in Dolce & Gabbana

The dress may not be Oscar worthy, but her hair and makeup make up for what it lacks.

Hilary Swank in Gucci

Dramatic and stunning. The feathers add just the right amount of flair.

Halle Berry in Marchesa

BEYOND. That is all.

Gwyneth Paltrow in Calvin Klein

Um, hi. Your body rocks. This dress is killer. That is all.

Gucci Walks the App Store Runway

Gucci Walks the App Store Runway

One of the holy grails of fashion, Gucci,  has stepped into the Apple App store with the launch of their free App for the iPhone and iTouch.

Frida Giannini worked directly with Mark Ronson to create several of the app’s coolest features like Gucci Beats (where you can mix your own music tracks and share with friends) and personal playlists by Frida and Mark. The App also has a music stream channel, the Gucci Little Black Book city guide, along with all the latest fashion shows, look books and news from Gucci.
