Kate Spade on ideeli Today!

Kate_Spade_coming_soon

It all started in 1993, when Kate Brosnahan, a former accessories editor at Mademoiselle, set out to design a sleek, utilitarian handbag she’d been craving for years, but couldn’t find on the market. Along with her husband, Andy Spade, they launched Kate Spade New York. And so began a revolution in the accessories market.

You can grab some of Kate’s adorable accessories today on ideeli for half the price, too! Check out the sale here! Still need an invite to ideeli? Grab one courtesy of WIT & Whimsy, by clicking here!

Prices will be starting at just $19!

Way back when I remember dying to have a Kate Spade wallet and purse. I was far too young to actually have one, but the feeling of desire from that brand that exuded simple sophistication had overcome me. Today, my admiration for Kate continues, this time in a more normal sort of way as I can appreciate her style and whimsical designs that make accessories totally fun, yet elegant.

Kate Spade embodies those qualities of a WIT we all have or want. Plus, no WIT can deny that some of her favorites things in the world are bags, sunglasses, shoes and stationery. God knows I love them all (not in that order, but if you know me well I’m betting you could order them without hesitation!)

A bit more about Kate:

  • Back in the 80s Kate worked in the accessories department of Mademoiselle in Manhattan
  • In 1996, Kate Spade opened its first shop in New York City’s SoHo
  • Kate graduated from ASU with a degree in Communication (my kind of a girl!)
  • Kate’s lines have expanded past handbags to include other WIT necessities such as delightful dishware and lovely linens
  • To find everything Kate Spade head to http://www.katespade.com/

Good Manners are a must

Good Manners are a must

Manners aren’t just for teaching you to keep your elbows off the table, but they include lessons in everything on writing thank you notes (to be done immediately after one receives a gift or thoughtful gesture) to when one should use a guest towel in the powder room (don’t make them seem so nice that they are untouchable- you want your guests to wash and dry their hands!).

You see, one of the most crucial things to understand about manners is that they are not just how you act yourself, but they are, in conjunction with etiquette, the way we make those we interact with comfortable.

A favorite resource for all your manners questions can be found in Manners by Kate Spade.
