One of the parts about blogging I love is being exposed to killer new labels.  Toi et Moi is just that. It’s an Australian line with a French influence and a bit of California flair as far as I’m concerned… which means it’s just my style. This Garance dress is such a great mix of silk and neon and easily dressed up or down and, if you’re anything like me, you’ll take one look at their Summer 2011 lookbook and be lusting after the downtown cool-girl look embodied by their models and each of their pieces.

Panels & Layers

At Fashion Week last February I was obsessing over cigarette pants (Irina Shabayeva’s were A-mazing) and leggings that featured leather paneling. I lusted over a pair of Alice + Olivia ones at Scoop that same week, but they cost no where near what I could justify spending on this sort of item.

Henceforth, when in New York a few weeks ago, I was school-girl silly excited to come across these alternatives from H&M. At just $19 they were a total steal and the compliments received on them has made it feel like they’ve paid for themselves (oh, if only!). They are so comfy and I can’t wait to wear over-sized sweaters with them and curl up under my favorite Cabela’s blanket and sit by the fireplace at home in Chicago!

p.s. these RL riding boots are my favorite boots of all time. So comfortable and classic. I’ve practically been living in them since Fall started to settle in. I always get asked about them so I set out to see if there was a similar style and Piperlime has a pair that are practically identical and also Lauren by Ralph Lauren.

I have a crush on Dylan

I have been mildly obsessed with stripes all summer (as witnessed here and here) and am now carrying them into Fall. I picked up this top the other weekend and love the weight of the chiffon and also the feminine button detailing down the back (which I failed to photograph – blast).

As frequent readers would know, I blog for designer accessory brand, Linea Pelle, from time to time (see here) and in return they were kind enough to send me their Dylan Cross Body clutch that I’m officially crushing on. The leather is gorgeous and soft, the inside boasts a super cute zebra print and it can be used as a cross body or over the shoulder bag and even a clutch. Talk about versatility. So my style. Linea Pelle boasts a huge celeb fan following including Lauren Conrad, Marisa Miller, Rihanna, Katherine Heigl and Gwen Steffani, just to mention a few.
