swoon-worthy: oscar de la renta:resort 2012

Last night I ooo’d and ahh’d over the Oscar de la Renta photos from Monday evening’s show of the 2012 resort collection. Is it ridiculous that browsing photos of fashion collections is like the sweetest bed time story to me? Me likes to think not.

The Spanish influences were chic yet playful. The shoes, sassy. The hats, clever. The skirts, to die for. The colors, sensational. And some of the last dresses? Showstoppers. Could not get enough of this collection.

modman monday 29 : oscar 2011 stunner.

Meghan and I are on the same wavelength when it comes to Cate in this beautifully crafted Givenchy (via Catwalk Queen). Although I’m not usually a fan of pastel colors, Cate pulls this off so well. I can’t think of any other person that can do it like Cate does.

And I have to give major props to Anne Hathaway and Rachel Zoe. Zoe and her team were able to put Anne in the best of the best (although I’m sure it wasn’t too difficult to convince designers to sign on), including Valentino, Givenchy, custom Lanvin tuxedo and custom Swarovski crystal-encrusted Brian Atwood satin pumps, custom Vivienne Westwood couture, Oscar de la Renta, Atelier Versace, Armani Prive and Tom Ford. Nothing but the best for the co-host of the Oscars!

The girls really pulled it out at tonight’s Emmy’s and I loved the majority of the looks that graced the red carpet. These are just a couple of those I liked. I also thought Tina Fey looked stunning and picked a great dress for her figure, but kind of loathed January Jones’ Versace futuristic look.
