Carrie Bradshaw’s shoes?! Thanks to Brian Atwood.

In honor of the release of Sex & the City 2 this week, we thought we’d take a closer look at shoe designer phenom, Brian Atwood. His stilettos are enough to kill a look in the most fierce of ways.

A one-time a model, designer Brian Atwood began his career in footwear with Versace and decided to launch his own label in 2001 and has since then skyrocketed to the top of shoe stardom. His heels are now in the category with the coveted Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo and are favorites of some of Hollywood’s biggest starletts!

Brian also designed pumps for the ladies of the silver and sparkling screen of Sex & the City 2. The pumps included fun and funky looks like these studded lavendar babies (also seen above on the left). Mind you, these lavendar heels, even at $800, are already sold out! Ah, behold the power of Sex. The shoes were inspired by Carrie Bradshaw herself and we think they are a perfect blend of high-fashion with unique and edgy detailing.

The 411: Macy’s Girls’ Weekend Out Event

This past Thursday I joined Macy’s for one fabulous event. At San Francisco’s Union Square Macy’s the event was hosted with Nick Verreos, Project Runway alum, designer and Red Carpet Fashion Correspondent.

During this fab fashion event Macy’s promoted the upcoming Sex & the City 2 film, gave shoppers 20% off in the Impulse department (I die, really!) and provided cocktails, mini makeovers and manicures and tons of styling tips.

The event featured a closet with pieces pulled that had been inspired by the four leading ladies of S&TC2 and I have to say the stylists were spot on with their garment pulls. Additionally, pieces across the floor were marked to help guide shoppers in styling their shopping picks after Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte. Genius, right? I thought so, too.
