skirting

In the past couple of years I’ve become much more of a skirt gal. I’ve bought more of them than dresses at times and am already thinking of ways to make them transitional this season (like with these tights). I’ve been finding loads of inspiration to do just that on Pinterest of recent – such as pairing a cozy cable knit sweater with a more lady like skirt, a leather jacket with a pop of color kind of skirt or a bold skirt with a crisp, collared button down.

What do you think? Skirt vs. Dress?

w&w loves: pinterest

When I declared via Twitter earlier this summer that I was finally on Pinterest I had many an exclamation back that I was way late in the game. At first I was thinking “What could possibly be so great about this site that would evoke such reactions” and then I got to pinning….oh what fun it is!

If you don’t use it, Pinterest is like one big inspiration board and insight into those of others all in one spot. It’s an amazing display of just what true beauty actually does live out on the web. The images “pinned” are often stunning, thought-provoking, inspiring and downright delightful and leave you wanting more…more color in your life, more fresh berries in your summer cocktail, more clean lines and decorative accents in your home, more mixed prints in your wardrobe and more freshness and flair in your everyday life.

Here’s an example of some of the things I’ve pinned or have seen pinned recently on Pinterest to give you an idea. Personally, I pin on everything from home decor to all things yummy to personal style to looks and ladies I love.

And if you follow anyone on Pinterest…let it be Dallas Shaw and Glitter Guide. Sensational finds every day that showcase just how much there is out in life to delight in. (Oh, and there’s me, too :) ) Are you on Pinterest??

p.s. one week till IFB! Will I see you there?!

p.p.s- check out Aussie label Toi et Moi for some serious style lusting. Their pieces are so effortlessly cool. They remind me of California! Have a few being sent my way and already cannot wait to style them!

{combo to covet} red + leopard

When Rachel Bilson stepped out in the above combo, I was immediately struck by how chic she looked in her Erdem red pants and leopard pumps. As I’ve previously mentioned, I plan to get a pair of red, structured trousers this fall and now think I need a pair of leopard heels to pair with them. I’m loving the entire look below…what do you think?
