heat

Rag + Bone top, BCBG skirt, Coach heels, gifted Coach Chelsea bag (seen here), Toy Watch, Jewelry: Tiffany & Co. (including this one), vintage, BaubleBar (c/o)

Kicked the Monday blues (despite the blouse I was wearing) to the curb by taking advantage of New York Restaurant Week and heading to ilili with girlfriends. We had delicious cocktails & apps in such a pretty setting. Oh and p.s. it’s 90+ degrees out and I waited on the subway platform for over 20 minutes to get down to dinner and ended up dripping in all the humidity. It’s super sexy to be in sweltering heat, I tell ya!

central park brunching

Lulu’s dress (last seen here), Gap jacket, Steve Madden sandals, Rebecca Minkoff MAC clutch, Ray Ban aviators, Toy Watch, Neckacles: Maya Brenner (c/o), Marc by Marc Jacobs, Tiffany & Co., Bracelets: Bauble Bar (c/o) Anthropologie, J.Crew, H&M, Ring: Jo

This past Saturday Taylor and I met up to do a picnic brunch in central park. We found a shady lawn, sprawled out and caught up. I confess that I’m quite sure central park is my happy place in new york…and having mimosas along for the morning doesn’t hurt either!

The outing also was an opportunity to wear this lovely state necklace by designer Maya Brenner. Her pieces are so beautiful and delicate and I love having a piece of my new home, New York to wear! Maya’s necklaces have many a celebrity fan, including Katy Perry, Lauren Conrad, Eva Longoria and Jessica Biel. She’s also now making ‘world’ necklaces and I think I need to buy an ‘M’ necklace next because I love how simple it is- exactly my kind of taste when it comes to jewelry.

Wedding 006

Joie dress {gifted}, Steve Madden suede pumps, Hobo International clutch (last seen here), Tiffany’s, vintage, Marc by Marc Jacobs & David Yurman jewelry

This past weekend marked wedding #6 for me of the year (of nine invites!) and found me in my soon-to-be-new home of New York City. A far cry from the other family wedding I attended this year in terms of location and setting, traditions executed, etc., it was so fun to be in New York at Christmas time with my family. While brief, it was completely exhilaration and oh-so magical.

P.S. – FabSugar named me their Look of the Day last Friday. Check it out here! Big thanks to the gals over at Fab!
