{combo to covet} red + leopard

When Rachel Bilson stepped out in the above combo, I was immediately struck by how chic she looked in her Erdem red pants and leopard pumps. As I’ve previously mentioned, I plan to get a pair of red, structured trousers this fall and now think I need a pair of leopard heels to pair with them. I’m loving the entire look below…what do you think?

flat out (+ help!)

flat out (+ help!)

Living in New York has taught me a lot about myself these past six months. And let me tell you, it’s certainly also taught me a lot about the way I dress. Whilst I get out in heels still plenty, I’m never found without a pair of flats of some sort in my bag for those walks home from the subway or trekking across town. That being said, I’ve realized I’ll be in quite a pickle when this warm weather fades and I’m left without the option of throwing in the slimmest pair of sandals as my fall back.

That being said, I think it’s time I find a new pair of flats as my go to. Taylor has loads of cute ones and it got me thinking I need a classic and easy pair to add to my rotation.

So help me pick my next pair!! Here’s some inspiration. Tell me in comments which you like best and your guidance will be way appreciated [insert rob stewart singing 'have i told you lately that i love you...]

Styled 3 Ways: The White tee

Styled 3 Ways: The White tee

In the past I’ve done Styled 3 Ways posts with other blouse inspiration (like here and here) or a bigger trend like color pops (check it here), but recently have been drawn to a favorite Gap tee of mine that is as cozy as it is versatile. There’s so much that can be done with a white tee whether you dress it up for work, dress it down for Sunday brunching or make it work in dozens of other ways,  but man am I feeling inspired by the little guy of recent.

Here’s three ways to style your favorite plain white tee, featuring the glorious Kain tee.

This look is all about nighttime and going out in the summer while keeping cool, but being extremely feminine. I adore the look of sequin shorts and while the pieces in this look are all rather high-end, it could be easily replicated by items you most likely already have in your closet. (I am completely obsessed with the Tory Burch shoes, by the way. major coveting happening).

This look I’d call weekend americana. Completely wearable for a day spent shopping with your girlfriends, indulging in a boozy brunch or meeting up with friends for a low key dinner. I love the embroidery on the skirt and these All Saints espadrilles are a total dream. Plus, I’m loving the look of a denim vest paired with more girly pieces right now. A headscarf tops the whole look off.

This final look was compiled with work in mind. I’ll be with clients most of this week and there’s nothing more reliable than a classic black pant and when paired with a fitted tee tucked in paper bag waisted pants with loads of sleek and simple jewelry (I went with Dannijo) and a pop of color thanks to these sassy Pour La Victoire pumps, you’re set to take on the world (business wise, that is). Oh, and a perfect work tote from the Coach Chelsea collection doesn’t hurt either.
Now, tell me, which look is your favorite?
