Vintage Louis

I bought this vintage Louis Vuitton clutch several years back while shopping in New York’s East Village (shortly after getting word of a promotion at work and therefore treating myself with this little splurge) and have recently re-fallen in love with it for its charm and ability to go with pretty much everything.

The vintage store owner was able to tell me it was made in the 80s (comme moi, no less :) ). I think one of the best features is the retractable handle. So many people have told me they have never seen a Louis like this and that’s precisely why I bought it and have come to love it.

p.s. my friend Tara featured it in a blog post of hers over on The Wonder Girl this past summer. Twas right about the same time I started to pull it out of its duster a bit more.

Lighting Strikes

At last night’s SF style & beauty blogger meetup, I was chatting with the gals of Shop It To Me about photography and it inspired me to mix it up a bit and do some shots in the evening (and by evening I mean like 11:30 p.m. because I’m crazy). I wanted to play with lighting and shadows and had probably too much fun messing with my camera settings. I used to be super into my SLR camera and being in a darkroom, but sadly those days were years back. Perhaps I need to get back into it soon. We shall see!

These aren’t the best shots, but it was fun to have my stress-induced insomnia be put to work!
