Well a great way to avoid this ever-so-joyful feeling of utter-popularity (sense the sarcasm) is signing up for the e-mail newsletters provided by practically every local publication around these days.

The great thing about these newsletters is that they are already on the pulse of what’s happening in the city where you live. They give you advance notice on great things like happy hour deals, food festivals, celebrity events, benefits and so much more. It’s a great way to amp up your social calendar and get outside your normal realm of activities. Plus, it’s way easier than scouring through the pub’s calendar of events listed on the websites because, let’s be honest, who has time to do that?
