August 19, 2009

Shape magazine has just announced their 6th annual beauty award winners and WIT & Whimsy got a sneak peek at who made the list before the September issue hits stands next week! SH0909_C1_MRKT[1]

Best Facial Moisturizer – Aveeno Positively Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30: Testers loved this product’s “totally natural-looking color” and “non-greasy” feel. Plus, the light-reflecting mica it contains helps even out skin tone, while the SPF 30 prevents future damage.

Best Facial Cleanser – Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser: The blast of grapefruit scent is a perfect morning pick-me-up that offers dramatic results – fewer breakouts, oil-free skin, and clear pores.

Best Body Moisturizer – Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Triple Smoothing Body Lotion: A mix of vitamin E and alpha hydroxy acids combine to deliver intense hydration and exfoliation in this moisturizer.

Best Antiperspirant/Deodorant – Dove Visibly Smooth Clinical Protection: This potent sweat stopper has the maximum amount of the wetness-fighting ingredient Aluminum Zirconium Tetrachlorohydrexgly allowed without a prescription to leave you feeling dry.

Best Eye care – Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller: This formula contains caffeine to banish puffiness and dark circles. It also combines Vitamin B and Glycerin to hydrate skin and lessen the look of wrinkles.

Best Eye Makeup – Maybelline the Colossal Volume Express Mascara: This mascara presents over-the-top-lush lashes by combining collagen-infused thickening formula and a brush big enough to cover every lash in one single stroke.

Best Lip Color – Covergirl Outlast Lipstain: Not only does this lip color last long, but it contains Glycerin and Hyaluronic Acid to ensure lips will stay soft and hydrated.

I love that these are all affordable but effective drugstore products. Just goes to show you don’t have to spend a lot to get a quality beauty product sometimes! That being said, the miracle product I’d be inclined to give an award to is either the Mary Kay TimeWise Night Solution (banished my time-of-the-month breakouts when used nightly) and NARS Orgasm blush (so natural-looking and pretty).

i completely agree. the list is great because you can go out and buy the items right away- no more hunting down $100 lotion when you probably could have gotten just as soft skin with Lubriderm!!

Ooo I must try the Mary Kay TimeWise product- I’m not familiar with it! Totally agree that Shape’s list is great because the products are affordable and easily accessible! Hit the nail on the head, Lisa!
