👆🏻This painting could be yours!!

One of the most fun parts of my new apartment was exploring art for the first time in my life.

I’ve moved so much in my adult life that sometimes things don’t even make it up onto the walls before I leave for the next place 😭

This apartment is different because instead of not knowing where to begin and therefore never starting - I worked with @propershoppe. Aka two interior designers and art advocates. As Ann & Leslie helped me to design my space they also sourced artists to do commissions for my space.

Enter @alexsofferart - my Brooklyn neighbor and an incredible abstract artist. Proper Shoppe helped me commission a piece from her and NOPE this isn’t it! 🙃

Mine is still a work in progress but this one - this one you can own!!! It’s currently available on Alex’s site and having lived with it for a few weeks now I can’t say how much I love it. (Also everyone on my zoom calls has been all 👀 “let’s talk about that art behind you”)

Art is an amazing way to A) support small businesses and B) give true personality to your space. As I said to Alex after we hung this “I’ve never had a painting in my place and I can’t believe how much life it lends to my space!” And then I almost cried. Who new I could love art so much?!

If you’re in the market for a painting this one can be yours. I’ll be happy for you- but also jealous TBH!! Message me or Alex for details! Or find it on Alex’s website: https://www.alexsoffer.com/product-page/36x48-acrylic-sand-and-plaster-on-wood

But I also can’t wait to soon reveal what @alexsofferart is painting for me 🤍🤍🤍

You asked for it and now it’s live! My full review of @westmanatelier makeup is on wit & whimsy. Find out my #1 favorite product, which I’d skip on and get details on formula, finish and shades!

I’m wearing a full face of @westmanatelier in the post too so you can see it in action. Should I do an IGTV applying everything too?! Let me know below!

Revealing my window treatments today on wit & whimsy! Here’s a sneak peek 👀 but the blog post has all the details on my experience with @everhem who I worked with to bring warmth and privacy to my place ✨

I never realized what a huge difference custom window treatments could make until I had them installed in my new place. @everhem is working to make the process more streamlined and easier and I’m sharing my review of their site and product in detail.

I can’t believe it’s March again. I can’t believe it’s almost a year since shelter in place began. I can’t believe it’s been a year since we knew normal life.

There have been many silver linings in this past year - I remind myself to be grateful for those - but it’s hard to swallow the last year as we reflect.

There’s so much I miss about life pre-COVID. But one thing I really miss is my days spent wandering my favorite NYC neighborhoods aimlessly in the sunshine - seeing where my feet will take me, snapping photos, seeing who I might run into, what I may eat or drink and what new spot I may happen upon.

I rarely go into Manhattan these days and it’s always with an agenda to be taken care of as quickly as possible. The spontaneity is gone for now. But I can’t wait till it returns.
