2016 Best Sellers

December 23, 2016

wit & whimsy 2016 bestsellersAfter Carly shared her bestsellers for the year, curiosity struck so I did a little dive into my own analytics to pull out what were the wit & whimsy bestsellers for 2016. A lot of these pieces I wear consistently throughout the year and consider staples and can’t recommend enough.

Read on to hear why I love each of these items!

Madewell Ryder Cardigan: I styled this already twice on the blog here and here and I live for this sweater when working from home and when traveling. I love how slouchy and cozy it is.

Cuyana Tall Tote: So nice, I got it twice! This is my preferred bag to take on travels as it fits my laptop and all other essentials without fail. The quality is excellent and it can be monogrammed! I have the black + gray and there’s a reason it sits in my favorites.

Spanx Faux Leather Leggings: Another item that sits in my favorite items, I love the fact that you can dress up or dress down these leggings, they are under $100 and because they are made by SPANX they suck everything in while also smoothing. A real win/win. I just wore them in Monday’s post.

BareMinerals BareSkin Foundation: This is my go-to foundation for any special occasions and all shoot days. It blends so seamlessly and is weightless while on. I love that it’s not messy and has SPF 20 in it! Not to mention that the brush that was created for it is pretty much a genius. Application is a breeze!

Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum: I wrote about this after meeting a woman in her late 30s with no wrinkles on her forehead – ha! She told me this serum was her secret and since I already had it you know that I promptly started rubbing it all over my face daily following this conversation! (Lord knows we ain’t getting any younger…)

Kate Somerville Exfolikate: Just mentioned in this post, I buy this time after time. Not only does it help combat breakouts it works to get rid of dry skin that helps to smooth and brighten. Pro tip? If you get any chest or back breakouts, use this to help combat! Do note: a little goes a long way!

Eric Javits Packable Hat: A packable straw hat? Yes, please! Who doesn’t hate worrying about the survival of their hat en route to vacation? Avoid that anxiety with this genius topper.

Zella Live-In Legging: Pretty much the best leggings that you can lounge in or workout in. I keep a pair in Colorado and have several at home because they are my favorite don’t-get-dressed leggings.

S’well Bottle: My trusty desk companion so that I drink H2o during the day I always strive to down three whole bottles from this every weekday. I also tote it along to workouts.

AG Ankle Legging Jeans: I live in these in the fall when ankle booties reign supreme! They are the perfect length for booties and flats and while a more expensive brand, I found myself reaching them over and over again.

Everlane Chunky Knit: Worn many times both on this blog (here, here & here) I just adore the weight and fit of this sweater. I own it in two colors because my mom saw how much I loved it and ended up buying me another one at Christmas last year! It’s also a great value.

The Crossroads of Should and Must: I mentioned this book when I revealed my new career path as it had really struck a chord with me. It’s filled with inspiration for taking the path you truly, in your gut, feel you must take. It argues that we should all live a life less defined by what we feel we “should” be doing and rather pursue passion, fulfillment and that fire inside us that has intuition calling. It’s a short and delightful read.

Sole Society Weekender: This bag is SO great for trips. I bring it as a carry on for every long trip where I’m checking luggage so I can bring valuables with me vs. being in my checked luggage and it is also ideal for one night stays or summer weekends where you are packing light. I love that it looks so much more expensive than $70 and comes in great color options!

p.s. my purse essentials and gifts you may want for yourself under $50!
