I know we’re all fans of #sweaterweather but how about #denimweather? I am a jeans girl through and through and while I definitely own my fair share of good jeans, I certainly play favorites, too.
Firstly, the AGolde Nico High Rise Slim Fit Jeans. These may be the most flattering pair of jeans I own. They slim everything out and I love how they look good with so many types of shoes. I sized down to a 27 which makes them snug but I think helps with how they wear, too. They really tuck everything in and they don’t ever stretch out which makes them a great jean to travel with. They just came out in a darker wash that I’ll most likely be picking up given how much I wear my current pair! Also wore them in Instagrams here, here & here. Original Post.
I now own this pair in two other styles as well:
This is the distressed AGolde Nico version (size 27) here:
These J.Crew jeans are one of my comfiest pairs of jeans. Size down though! I’m wearing a 27. The button fly is super flattering and nice when paired with more solid neutrals or classic silhouettes. Original Post.
I love the Velvet Twiggy Jeans so much in white but they also come in other colors. Wearing a size 28. I bought so many kick flare white jeans until I found the perfect pair and these are it. [Original Post].
These high waisted, un-distressed Citizens of Humanity jeans are another pair that I put on and instantly feel better. They are so flattering and so comfortable. I sized down to a 27. Original Post.
These Mother jeans were probably my favorite denim purchase of the past year. I ordered them thinking they’d probably not work out but they ended up hugging in all the right places and looked great with my favorite loafers, mules and booties. I wear them SO much. The distressed pair are sold out (will let you guys know if I see them get restocked this season) but this style and this style are really similar and not-distressed. I also have my eye on these for the new season. I have 3 pairs of Mother Denim jeans and get a lot of wear out of each. I find their fit super, super flattering. Original Post.
The Agolde Toni Jeans are wear-them-every-week jeans for me. The perfect slim fit, the perfect ankle crop, the perfect style for sneakers/flats/heels/you name it – these jeans are truly perfection. I wear them in a size 27. Original Post.
These Levi’s Wedgie Straight Jeans jeans are just so comfy and I absolutely love how they look with heels. I get questions on these every time I wear them on Instagram and truth be told I tried A LOT of pairs of Levi’s before I found these and fell in love. I wear them in a size 28 and they’re a little baggie like the mom-jean style should be. For just $98 you can’t beat the price and wear on these jeans. Original Post.
Looking for an ankle crop that’s a bit more straight than skinny so it fits over your favorite ankle booties but also still goes well with flats, heels and sneakers? Look no further than the Citizens of Humanity Rocket Crop jeans. Such comfy denim (although I wish I would have sized down to 27 vs. buying the 28 – it means these are great jeans for days you plan to indulge in big meals – ha!) Original Post.
Hands down my favorite pair of Everlane Jeans are their High Rise Skinny Button Fly in this gorgeous “it-isn’t-black-but-it-isn’t-gray-either” wash that goes with so much. I wear TTS in size 28. The perfect amount of stretch and so flattering on. Original Post.
Also by Everlane, The Cheeky Straight Jean is right up my alley. Mom jeans but make them chic. This pair is so good with slingbacks and heels in particular. Wearing Ankle length. Above I am wearing the Sky Blue color but I also just ordered them in the Indigo wash after seeing them on a French girl I follow on Instagram ;). I’m a size 28. Original Post.

I should caveat that I do believe in investing in “designer denim” so to speak. I wear my jeans A LOT and I believe in having pairs that make you feel GD awesome when you put them on. The above are the brands that do that for me. I’ve tried tons of brands and styles and have figured out the brands that I like on me and the styles that are go-to and those that let me embrace certain denim trends. I recognize that $200 for jeans is a lot but think it allows you to think critically about what styles you’ll get the most wear out of. If you can’t wear jeans to work you may want to try trendier styles for nights out or weekend adventures. If you work in a casual environment, it may make sense to invest in a pair that’s able to go from desk to drinks with the right styling. Try lots of pairs and take photos in the mirror and see what you think! That’s generally how I figure out what pairs I love best. TopShop and Levi’s make my favorite affordable denim followed by Madewell.
