My Favorite Clean Face Masks and Peels

Best Clean Face Masks & Peels I wit & whimsy

With all the extra time at home these days, I’ve been excelling at my skincare regimen and each week I’ve been taking care to use my favorite face masks and peels. As I continue to try and move towards more clean beauty in my routine, I’ve narrowed my face masks and peel collection to nearly entirely clean brands. The below are the best ones I’ve tested and that I reach for again and again.

MASKS:

Ursa Major Bright & Easy 3-Minute Mask. I love that this mask is so quick and yet so impactful. Your skin will instantly look more radiant after rinsing this off as it removes any top layer dead skin. Skin is smoother and more radiant in 3 minutes flat.

Youth to the People Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask. Hydrate, brighten and plump all while you’re sleeping. This mask is so good.  You’ll notice skin is improved when you wake up after just one use.

Indie Lee I-Waken Resurfacing Mask. Skin looking dull or tired? Reach for this. In just a few minutes your skin will be smoother and brighter. I think I Ooo’d when I rinsed it off after testing it the first time. I really loved how glow-y my skin looked. And because you only leave it on for 5 minutes it is a perfect pre-makeup mask as your makeup will look better on after use of this one.

Caudalie Instant Detox Mask. This mask always sells out for good reason. If your pores get clogged like mine, reach for this. It’ll clean out pores and help minimize their size. Such a good mask for when your skin feels like it is freaking out a bit. It also combats excess oil which I am always personally grateful for.

Farmacy Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask. A longtime favorite mask of mine, this mask warms on contact making it a soothing experience and it really works to re-hydrate skin that’s depleted. Skin will be more nourished and plump after use and if you have any blemishes this one is particularly great as honey serves as an antibacterial to help fight and heal them.

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask. This is more of a treatment than a mask in my opinion but either way it really goes to work to restore hydration to skin so skin looks smoother, more even and plumper after use. I buy the mini size as a little goes a long way and I love keeping it in my carry on for use in-flight or nowadays by my bedside table for overnight use. I personally never tissue this off rather leave it on overnight.

PEELS:

Drunk Elephant BabyFacial. Longtime readers will know this is holy grail for me. It is pricey but the results are worth it. You skin will feel utterly amazing after this. The glow is REAL. With regular use my skin looks so good. It is powerful though so don’t leave on longer than the 20 prescribed minutes and be sure to nourish your skin with a favorite face oil afterwards.

Naturopathica Pumpkin Purifying Enzyme Peel. Love everything pumpkin like me? Then you are bound to love this peel that smells just like pumpkin pie. I reach for this peel when my skin is breaking out or overly oily. It soothes but also removes dead skin cells while making my skin smoother and more calm. (This is tough to do for a peel and typically you’d want to avoid peels when you have breakouts so I love that this one is equal parts gentle as it is powerful).

Tammy Fender Epi-Peel. My friends at Follain recommended this one to me and I’m so glad they did. It’s kind of like a facial in a jar. The formula features clay so in addition to removing dead skin cells and giving you a glow, impurities are also pulled out without drying your skin (which can sometimes happen with clay formulas). I also personally really love how this peel feels as you massage it into your skin.
