The other night I was at drinks with a friend here in London and we were exchanging all of our favorite TV shows. (She was giving me some great British TV shows to add to my list!) but it made me realize how much good TV there has been so far this year and so today I thought I’d share some of my personal favorites today and historically.
All My Favorite TV Shows
My all time favorite show is Friends. I know every line from all 10 seasons by heart and I watch it to this day. Other older shows I loved include Parenthood, Friday Night Lights, Felicity, The OC, Gilmore Girls, Fixer Upper, Dawson’s Creek, Gossip Girl, Parks & Recreation, The Office and Sex & the City.
Shows still on (or recently revived) that I love include Younger, Will & Grace, Law & Order SVU, Modern Family, Top Chef (recently got back into this show at my sister’s recommendation) and Great British Bake Off. I am also newly obsessed with Schitt’s Creek (this may be my favorite show since Friends- no joke. It is absolutely hilarious), Grace & Frankie, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Bold Type, Bodyguard, The Americans (not yet finished with this series!) and I just most recently started Billions and am enjoying it so far.

Since we have literally the same taste in TV (I can’t do violence and so many shows that I want to love, like Game of Thrones or Outlander, are way too violent for me), have you ever seen Covert Affairs? It’s from a few years back, but I love it SO much. The best love story line, a kick-ass heroine and CIA operative, and they actually filmed all over the world, so it feels like a travelogue, too.

I tend to watch a lot of British TV (I’m Canadian). Two of my most recent British favourites are Peaky Blinders and Grantchester.

I totally agree about Friends! It is the best show ever!! I also have been loving Younger, as the star is my favorite singer/dancer/actress!! Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is probably my favorite new TV show!! Rachel Brosnahan is incredible in it!!! Your list is great, and has a lot of my absolute faves 🙂

New favourites include Marvellous Mrs Maisel and Will & Grace (both thanks to your recommendations – although I don’t love how frozen everyone’s face is in the reboot!), The Bold Type, Jack Ryan, The Americans, and I’m still enjoying the Big Bang Theory (which is about to finish) – probably because I’m married to a theoretical scientist, haha.
Have never seen Parks & Recreation, Parenthood, Friday Night Lights, Younger or Schitt’s Creek, so need to track all of those down (thank you!).

I have never watched The Golden Girls if you can believe it! I need to add that to my list. And I was a major late comer to Seinfeld but absolutely love the laugh out loud comedy of that show!
Friends is one of my all-time favorites too, and right now I’m loving Schitt’s Creek and The Americans! Cannot stop watching The Americans in particular, it’s so good!

Looove The Americans and I’m excited to see how the series ends! I’ve been slow moving through it though because the episodes are all so intense! I have to take regular breaks from it ha!
Friends from College on Netflix! I binge watched in like 3 days… A great mix of funny, sad, real, all the things.
Ah I couldn’t get into that! I watched Season 1 but couldn’t get past the first two episodes of season 2
