Cozy Winter Capsule Wardrobe | Fun Holiday Activities At Home | Eileen Fisher Cozy Home Outfit I wit & whimsy

Confession time: I haven’t worn anything but cozy, comfortable lounge clothes in over a month’s time. And it’s been great. With Winter officially settled in and no social plans on my calendar, I plan to continue to be all about a cozy Winter capsule wardrobe. If you, too are investing in comfort and cozy outfits, today’s post is for you.

The pieces below were selected with keeping our outfits simple and cozy for the rest of winter. You can mix and match most of them and get loads of wear out of them beyond Winter, too. Aka = lots of easy outfits coming your way.

Many of the pieces are chic enough that you can wear them beyond loungewear and they’ll double as quality pieces to travel in when travel returns. Wear these pieces at home, wear these running around town and were these pieces exploring your neighborhood. They have all been personally vetted by me!

Cozy Winter Capsule Wardrobe:

A chic lounge set

My favorite lounge set made up of these sweats and this sweatshirt never gets old and is great year round. (Recommend sizing down in both – I wear a Size Small). I lived in this during shelter in place and now have it in two colors. In Winter, I’ll layer a cozy cardigan over it. The sweatshirt and joggers can also be styled a myriad of ways with other pieces from your wardrobe.

Sherpa, sherpa, sherpa

My favorite sherpa zip-up is great for chilly days and my walks and pairs well with leggings. I bought the pullover, too to style with joggers.  I wear both in size Medium. Love fleece as much as I do? All my favorite fleeces so far can be found here.

Super soft pajamas

Ok pajamas aren’t technically a capsule wardrobe item. But I had to include these! There is no season I love crawling into pajamas as much as Winter. These soft pajamas from Target are heaven. I have them in size Medium. (Everything I’ve tried from Target’s Stars Above line has been so, so good.) I also love this similar pair by J.Crew.

Oh-so-plush Turtleneck

An investment piece for sure, but utter heaven to wear, is Eileen Fisher’s Cashmere Bliss Turtleneck. I can’t stop reaching for it. Plush would be an understatement. It looks great with your favorite leggings, wide leg pants or joggers. This is a more affordable and also cozy option that I own.

A cashmere lounge set to love

I bought this pair of cashmere joggers (size Small) in 2019 and I’m never looking back from cashmere joggers. (which match with my favorite cashmere hoodie that I own in size Large). This pair looks really nice, too.

Fleece joggers

Joggers, but make ’em Winter-ready. I have this pair in a size small and love them. Soft and warm enough to run around in during colder months.

Soft yet supportive leggings

My legging collection has grown exponentially this year but far and away my favorite pairs are this pair (size 6) and this pair (size Small).

Alpaca Sweater

This alpaca sweater that I own is crazy cozy and cozy warm. I love the oversized fit with it to wear with my favorite leggings. I have it in size Medium.

A fleece turtleneck

This fleece turtleneck I love donning on cozy, rainy days. It’s so comfy. I wear the Size Large.

A knit turtleneck

Perfect for warmer Winter days, this oversized turtleneck looks great with leggings and a cropped jacket and sneakers. Size small.

A versatile cashmere sweater

This cashmere crewneck has the prettiest texture and is so cozy, so warm and looks as good with leggings as it will jeans. I wear a size Medium. I own and love the turtleneck version, too. See it on here.

A fleece sweatshirt

Truly a favorite sporty-chic item in my closet for nearly two years running is this teddy raglan sweatshirt. I love how it looks with leggings and sneakers. I sized up to a size Large.

. . .

What cozy pieces have you been living in this Winter? Would love to hear!
