Designer Profile: Mike & Chris

December 20, 2009

Hello divine comfort. It’s nice to meet you.

Actually, divine comfort goes by the designer name of Mike & Chris who has, essentially, perfected the upscale hoodie. The hubby/wifey tag team behind their namesake brand have made a dent in the fashion foundation by taking the type of clothes we all love to wear in private or on the weekends when we may have had one too many cocktails the night before and can’t even bear the thought of leaving our house for brunch in anything but sweats and a large pair of sunglasses.

Mike Gonzalez and Christine Park-Gonzalez have reinvented staples like leather jackets, tunics and hoodies by making them just a bit more funky, a lot more cozy and far more feminine. While their prices are not similar to that of your old college bookstore, you can pretty much rely on having these practical and comfortable pieces in your wardrobe for a long, long time. Consider them fashionable investments 🙂
