A Fall Bucket List

wit & whimsy I Sail to Sable Sweater Dress

As mentioned in yesterday’s post, fall is my absolute favorite time of year. Particularly, here in New York. The city no longer feels swampy, the trees have started to change colors and there’s no shortage of places to soak up the crisp air.

I’ve never published a bucket list on wit & whimsy before but felt compelled to do so to hold myself somewhat accountable to ensure I get to all the things I’ve had mulling about in my head. (Something I had wished I’d done for summer before I blinked and it was over…!)

  1. Take a day trip upstate. Visit a farm, drink apple cider and enjoy the foliage. (This is an annual tradition I do with girlfriends and one of my favorite highlights of fall every year!)
  2. Shoot on the Central Park Lake and on The Bow Bridge.
  3. Bake Ina Garten’s Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp.
  4. Print new photos to frame.
  5. Make a donation to a worthy cause.
  6. Watch a classic movie I’ve never seen. (Any suggestions?)
  7. Visit the Top of the Rock.
  8. Walk the Brooklyn Heights Promenade.
  9. Make pumpkin bread.
  10. Visit Riverside Park.
  11. Have friends over for chili and corn bread.
  12. Try a boxing class.
  13. Revisit the Cloisters.
  14. Try a new restaurant.

Do you guys have a seasonal bucket list you’re plotting? Do share!

Great list!!! I’m going to copy some of these 🙂 I especially love #1 and I”m going to plan to do the same. I live in southern Connecticut and never take full advantage of the pretty fall foliage so I’m going to do that starting this fall. Thank you for sharing and enjoy the season. It’s by far my favorite time of year.

  2. LA DEE DA #FALLIDAY TIME IS HERE! I like this list very much and can’t wait to eat all of these things you want to cook, tbh. Have you seen Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid? What about Breathless or La Piscine? We could have a little film francais night.

  3. Ooh I want to visit The Cloisters too, I’ve never been. I bet it’s beautiful in fall. And strawberry rhubarb crisp sounds realllly good right now!
