How to: Keep your denim in tip-top shape

June 7, 2010

We’re total magazine junkies and were very engrossed in this month’s InStyle (buy it if you haven’t perused it yet!)

The best bit in the issue? Some great tips on taking care of your denim. We thought we should share:

1. Wash in cold water on a gentle setting. Every four wears, but the longer you can go, the better.

2. Indigo dye is the culprit for rubbing off on other items, turn your pants inside out when laundering.

3. Ideally, hang dry. If you can’t wait, tumble dry on low heat then press an iron along the waistband, pockets and side seams to prevent puckering.

And, slightly related, if you haven’t seen it, check out our interview on Denim Debutante from last month!
