June Favorites

wit & whimsy june favorites

This month’s favorites could not be more random but hey, that’s the point of this series if you really think about it! What I’ve been drinking, eat, riding, wearing and doing…all in June!

Justin 2016 Rosé:

The team at Justin was kind enough to send me some of their new releases as a little housewarming gift and I loved this rosé! It’s light and fruity without being overly sweet. And bonus? It’s a screwtop! Perfectly portable for all those summer occasions.

NYC Ferry:

If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat you’ve most likely seen that I’ve been taking the East River Ferry on a few occasions recently. I can’t believe I’ve never investigated this form of transport before! It costs the same as the subway and it’s so much more enjoyable (particularly if you’re not in a rush.) From nearby DUMBO in Brooklyn I can get to Wall Street in just 4 minutes…brilliant!

Suede and Leather Sandals:

I’ve been living in these sandals for running around Brooklyn. They’re so comfortable and I love that the leather and suede make them a little more elevated than a typical sandal. P.S. They are now on major sale! Also available here.

Nature Valley Granola Cups:

I mentioned these in a weekly roundup but guys, I have an addiction. I’ve been putting them in the freezer and oh man, they are delicious! I love the Peanut Butter Chocolate but they also have Almond Butter.

Aaptiv:

Do any of you guys use this app? I’ve been using this for some ab workouts at home on days I’m not taking a class. They are trainer narrated workouts with options including treadmill runs, outdoor runs, abs, walking and more. The app is super easy to use and the virtual trainer helps me stay engaged and motivated!

What are you guys loving this month?!

I think the ferry is a semi-new thing! Or they’re rolling out more service? I need to try it too, espc with all the subway shutdowns to Brooklyn on the weekends! Can you use a monthly MetroCard, or is it like the Path where you have to pay extra?

You have to download their app and buy a ticket so sadly you can’t use your monthly card (that I know of!) but it is the same price as a single ride. And you’re so right about the trains shutting down – it’s a great alternative! report back if you try it 🙂
