My Favorite Face Masks

wit & whimsy's favorite face masks

I talk about face masks a lot on InstaStories (I do one 2-3 times per week usually!) but I realized it had been a long time since I rounded up on the blog those I love the most and rely on regularly to give my skin what it needs.

Fresh Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy Boosting Mask: This is the mask I reach for when my skin is looking for a quick little boost. It smells so good and has a texture resembling jam that makes it pretty fun to apply! Why jam you may think? Well, the formula is actually a blend of oranges, lemons and clementines. They are packed with AHA fruit acids to gently refine the skin. You also get a dose of vitamins that work with the fruit extracts to polish your skin and leave skin extra glowy and soft. Instant glow!

Dr. Brandt Hydro Biotic Recovery Sleeping Mask: This mask almost feels like its cheating because it is so good and so easy. You add it on as your last step at night and it majorly hydrates. I reach for it whenever my skin is feeling parched and it just takes one sleep to get skin back to feeling plumped and smoother. More on this mask here.

Mario Badescu Cucumber Tonic Mask: If you ever get enlarged pores, this mask is for you. I tend to get enlarged pores around my nose and on my chin and whenever they start to bother me, I use this mask. It also removes excess oil so it helps to keep breakouts at bay.

Erno Laszlo White Marble Dual Phase Vitamin C Peel: This may not *technically* be a mask, but it feels similar enough so I included it here. Not only does this look and smell like an orange juice slushie, it goes to work to seriously brighten your face while delivering a bunch of other benefits, too. It’ll reduce dark spots and dullness, refine any rough spots on your face to smooth them out and hydrates and heals. And let us have a moment for the fact that this product has over 1,000 5-star reviews on Nordstrom!

Farmacy Honey Potion Hydration Mask: This mask is from my Holy Grail products and is the go-to mask for me during winter. It is thick and warming on application and hydrates skin so it is great if you ever get dry patches on your face. It is a jelly like consistency so it can be a bit tricky to apply + remove but it is well worth the effort.

Mario Badescu Flower & Tonic Mask:  Another mask from my Holy Grail beauty products and probably the one I would take with me to a desert island! It absorbs oil in a major way and helps to calm congested skin. If you have sensitive skin or experience redness, definitely give this $18 mask a go. It does wonders for minor breakouts, too. I’ve been buying + using it religiously ever since an esthetician at Mario Badescu recommended it for my sensitive, congested skin back in 2011!

Darphin Stimulskin Plus Serum Mask: This mask is $$$ but worth it. Part mask, part serum this mask helps soften fine lines and wrinkles in a major way (henceforth worth it) and your skin’s texture is immediately improved. I use it before photo shoots and weddings, etc. whenever I kind of want a facelift in a bottle. (Read the reviews of this product as well! I’m not alone in thinking it is definitely worth the money!)

. . .

Two masks not shown because I actually recently finished them (!) are the Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask which is another mask that’s great pre-special events and for when I want my makeup to go on really well and then also the Dr. Brandt Magnetight Mask which takes a bit more commitment to use as you remove it with a magnet but that’s part of the fun! This mask is perfect if your skin is aging as it works to firm + tighten so skin looks less saggy. (More on it here.)

And, since I’m always testing out new beauty products, I’d love to hear if you have a favorite face mask that I should try!?
