My Favorite Face Masks

June 2, 2015

I swear by using a face mask at least once a week as part of my regular skincare routine. While I try out a lot for this ol’ site, I play favorites with the ones that have proven the most worthwhile. Here are those I keep in rotation.

First Aid Beauty Purifying Mask

First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Purifying Mask with Red Clay: There is something so satisfying about a peel off mask, no?  This mask is newer in my rotation and works to detoxify and also, because of its high concentration of red clay, deeply purifies your complexion by drawing out skin impurities. My skin tends to be more oily in the summer so I have found this mask helps regulate excess oil and can help with clogged pores.

Mario Badescu Flower and Tonic Mask

Mario Badescu Flower & Tonic Mask: This mask was recommended by my facialist at their spa because my skin can be on the sensitive side and the formulation  has calming properties. It is clay-based to absorb dirt and oil (a necessary for any city-living gal) and soothes redness and irritation. I turn to this whenever my skin is feeling off-kilter. (And if you get bigger, inflamed pimples – I swear by this.)

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask: I’ve written about Tata Harper before here and this mask is great when you need a little glow added to your skin. It removes blemished skin cells and skin promptly feels more radiant after using.

Kate Somerville EradiKate Mask

Kate Somerville EradiKate Mask: This mask starts as a gel-cream texture and then gets all foam-y on your skin as it works to dissolve impurities and minimize the appearance of pores. Skin feels smoother and cleaner after using this and I generally use it when I’ve been having chin acne around that time of the month. (Just used this last night! Snapchat @meghandono will show you more – ha!)

Any favorites you have?
