My Favorite Travel-Sized Beauty Products

July 30, 2015

I’ve been on the road much of this summer so I’ve learned how to pack efficiently (more on that here) and also figured out which beauty products are must haves for me when it comes to packing up. When Ulta asked me to share my favorite products to take on vacation I jumped at the chance as I was prepping my suitcase to come out to California where I am now.

I was thrilled to find the variety Ulta’s website carries for travel size – for hair, skincare and makeup and many of the products I already swear by were all available in travel size.

I don’t know about you but I’ve been that girl anxiously buying things at the drugstore from the travel size section and its none of the products that I really like. Which is why I was excited to shop at Ulta. They have favorite brands of mine like Living Proof, Urban Decay, Benefit and Mario Badescu among others.

Packing for your next vacation just got a lot easier. Here are some of my favorites to bring on the road…

Dermalogica Face Wash

This is a great face wash for use on the road. The size is enough for a week or more of travel and is gentle so it won’t mess with your regular routine.

Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer

I swear by this eye shadow primer every day (my eye lids tend to be oily and can cause eye liner and eye shadow to look like it is melting off #sexy) and love having it in a handy smaller size for trips. A good tip: put it on your hand before using your finger tip to dab it onto your eyelid for more control in how much you use.

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette

I’ve long been obsessed with the Naked palettes but this basics one is perfect for travel when you’re not going to be wearing much eye makeup (particularly in the summer). It’s just a few shades that you need for everyday wear and the palette is perfectly compact.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

Those pesky zits that can pop up after long flights or leading up to that time of the month can be the worst so I was so excited to discover Mario Badescu was making their famed drying lotion in a plastic bottle (vs. glass) so you can pack it in your suitcase and not worry about mishaps!

Almay Eye Makeup Remover Pads

I use these even when not on the road but love that Ulta has a travel size that has enough pads for at least two weeks of travel. You no longer have to worry about lugging around a bigger package or – god forbid – cotton balls and a bottle of liquid eye makeup remover. No thanks!
