Hello Fall, it’s me Meghan. You’re my favorite season and this year I’m trying new things. Like extra long tees that are different and surprising and make walking fun! HA.

In all seriousness though, this top was way out of my comfort zone but I kind of love it. I ended up getting so many compliments on it just for how different it is I think than the things I wear most days. It also comes in black and white.

And a note about these shoes. I have them in a snake print also and I adore them. They are on the pricier side but really comfortable and I love that the nude color goes with basically everything (last seen on the blog here!) They are truly the perfect neutral shoe for your Fall wardrobe.

I also want to have a moment for the fact that Cutler Salon was kind enough to have me in for one of their Redken Pillow Proof Blowouts at the Soho location on this particular day last week (7-10AM every morning they are open). I don’t loathe doing my own hair but it sure isn’t at the top of favorite activities. And I know some people are addicted to their blowouts but its just not a luxury I really make time for generally in my schedule. But can I just say what a treat it felt like? Not only did I love how the girl did my hair (thanks, Heidi!) but it lasted for three.whole.days! The fact that I made the time for it one morning actually turned out to remove stress for several more days which I could really get behind.

In pulling these photos together I realized I am so.damn.smiley in them. But you know what? It was one of those gorgeous New York mornings where you can feel the hint of Fall in the air, I had just not had to do my own hair and got to enjoy walking around Soho with Bekka, iced coffee in hand before heading into the office and it was pretty glorious (I also housed a ridiculously good croissant upon reaching my desk #praise.) One of those times where I feel very happy to live in that thriving, bustling, insane place known as New York City!

Ok seriously this post is killinggggg ittttt. Or rather YOU are killing it in this post! I love the simple combination of earthy colors, but somehow each stylized piece just looks so special and pulls the whole look together so well! Seriously, well done.

Also, I’m jealous of your fabulous New York summer day with iced coffee and croissants and blow outs. Haha.

I think this is one of my very favorite W&W outfit posts to date. Seriously – this is absolutely gorgeous and you carry it off so effortlessly. It IS different, but that’s why it’s so fresh and fabulous! Brava!!!

  3. Those shoes are adorable! I love trying new looks which are sometimes out of my comfort zone! Thanks for sharing!

while technically this is a top, I’m really embracing the look of dresses over pants right now – it’s such a unique way to layer and makes use of your favorite frocks as the temps drop! It’s been especially convenient over here in chilly England! So cute!
