November Beauty Edit

Beauty Favorites from lifestyle blogger Meghan Donovan of wit & whimsy I November 2016

Sharing my November Beauty edit today which includes 4 products I’ve been using for a few months and really can’t get enough of! Get buffed, cleansed & pretty with this month’s finds.

Bobbi Brown New York Palette:

I was lucky enough to get an advance sample of this palette over the summer and to say I’m obsessed is an understatement. The three eyeshadow shades are like my everyday-eye look dream team. I use the cream (white) shadow all over as a base, layer the Birch over my lid and then put the Champagne Quartz up towards my brown. I top it off with my lasts-all-day favorite gel eyeliner in Black Ink. It’s subtle yet put together and the blush included in the kit makes it perfect as a one-stop makeup shop for traveling. Have a BFF living in NYC? This makes such a cute gift because of the darling illustration on the cover!

Kosas Lipsticks:

I’ve been using this indie line of lipsticks for a few months now and have been super impressed with their performance. My favorite shade for fall has no doubt been Undone but I’m excited to experiment with Darkroom this winter for a more intense look. I love best that these lipsticks have a matte finish and are non-drying meaning you can swipe it on in the morning and not have to worry too much about touchups throughout the day! Better yet? They are formulated without parabens, sulfates, or phthalates. I loved learning more about the brand in this article and I can’t wait for their new launches!

Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Charcoal Mask:

In general, I don’t battle my pores as much as I used to but they definitely can get enlarged and become more noticeable at which point I’ve started pulling out this easy to use mask that only requires 10 minutes to get to work. The charcoal pulls out any debris in pore and then clay soaks up excess oil. Afterwards my skin feels more refined and pores are smaller.

MAC Mineralize Volcanic Ash Exfoliator:

Ok so this stuff…this stuff is awesome. I don’t ever really think of MAC when thinking of skincare but I have now become mildly addicted to using this stuff in the shower when I need a DGC: damn.good.clean. My skin is so insanely soft afterwards that it’s like little elves polished every pore personally. The scrub has volcanic ash (duh) and fine sugar crystals so that your skin is buffed and moisturized.  It’s a little messy to use (hence, shower use) but given you can also use it elsewhere on your body, consider this your new shower BFF. (Also, while we’re on the topic of MAC, after being an addict to Urban Decay’s eye primer, I have a new favorite and it is THIS. It works SO MUCH BETTER and keeps eye makeup all day. It’s name is no lie!)

p.s. My October beauty edit + all my beauty favorites in one place.
