Spring is in the air at J.Crew!

February 5, 2009

Living in San Francisco it’s sometimes hard to remember that spring-like weather is something to look forward to for most parts of the country. When the wool pants and down coats are replaced by chic shorts and pastel palettes of color- it’s usually a time to call for celebration. I don’t blame them- I am a Chicago native after all.

But with the release of J.Crew’s Spring LookBook, it’s definitely time to get ready for warm weather, sunshine and shimmery sheath dresses! I’m loving the tissue-weight tees, ruffles, countless cardigans and the colors of sand, stone, celery, mint, marigold and blush. It all just screams comfy, but chic and sophisticated. Exactly what we’ve come to expect from J.Crew’s lovely lines. You can see all the new arrivals here.

My personal faves of this wity new Spring line?

I love the new colors of their cashmere cardigans…

the satin sheen to these still-casual shorts…

the modern take on a strand of pearls…

and the simplicity of this sun dress which will easily become a staple for me on weekends and all my fun sunshine filled trips this year!

I really love the last dress that you have pictured. It looked so comfy in the store so I tried it on and it looked like a giant potato sack on me. It was such a shame, because the material was so inviting.

Also, thanks for including me in your post!
