Dress season every day is officially here in my book. I’ve barely glanced at the other sections of my closet in the past two weeks as summer weather really settled into the city and I feel like I’ve been putting my collection of dresses to work of late following a variety of trips where I had a few with me that I needed to really work to change up how they were styled via my collection of accessories.
Summer Dresses
With summer weather settling in and loads of sales happening, I wanted to round up a bunch of my go-to dresses from both this summer and summers past. In fact, I’ve been throwing on lots of linen dresses and my collection of midi dresses in other lightweight fabrics and summer florals. My collection of dresses isn’t huge (I don’t have the closet space!) so I am thoughtful about those I add, those I rewear a lot and those I decide to retire.
Read on for the dresses I can’t stop wearing this season! In addition, I went ahead and shopped at my favorite online retailers and rounded up a variety of styles I am loving right now if you’d like me to hold your hand virtually while shopping!
The dresses I can’t stop wearing:
My favorite dress of the summer that I haven’t stopped telling you guys about!
Loved the black so much I bought the white, too. Size L. The details on this dress are so special and it made me fall in love with the whole new-to-me-brand. It also led me to buy this dress by the brand when I saw it for 30% off.
This ladylike midi dress with the best full skirt.
I wore my white version so much the last two summers I just bought it in black as seen above. Size 8.
And if you’d prefer a sleeve – they also have this version. (Which I own in black!)
*The* Amazon dress.
I also like to pair my black version with this designer belt to dress it up.
This slinky midi slip dress.
Wearing a size 6. I also have a similar style from Amazon in size L.
This dress with the best scallop + tie shoulder detail.
I got it in a size 3.
This darling poplin number with the prettiest stripe detail.

In fact, I reach for mine on the “I can’t think about what to wear in this heat” kinda days.
This chic linen Madewell midi dress I got in both black and in white.
Seen on here. Size 8.

I’ve also scoured the web for other great dresses for the season and wanted to share those I am personally eyeing buying and also others from some of my favorite retailers. I did so at a variety of price points as well.
So many good pieces out there right now!
1. X Back Dress
I love a back on a dress like this and would wear it all the time if I could get away with no bra or a stick on bra. Alas, I can’t but for those of you who can – go forth and get this chic dress!
2. Jenni Kayne Day Dress
I love a shirt dress that doesn’t feel too-office and this one is it. I also love how it looks styled on the model with a belt, too.
3. Knit Tank Dress
I love knit tank dresses like styled with a casual pair of Golden Goose sneakers for running around during the summer. You could also dress it up with a wrap sandal.
4. En Saison Tie Back Dress
How fun is the back on the dress? Plus the flutter sleeve and the full skirt! What a fun one to wear.
5. Jenni Kayne Riviera Dress
Love how simple yet sleek this dress is. Comes in several colors and I personally just bought the navy during a recent sale.
6. Cosabella Tie Sleeve Maxi Dress
This dress is so easy, breezy and would be perfect for a baby shower or vacations this summer.
7. Abercrombie Strappy Drop Waist Dress
The price point on this dress is great and also looks more expensive in my opinion. It would be great as a wedding guest dress.
8. Jenni Kayne Cove Dress
This dress would be so perfect for bridal events if you’re getting married soon! But it also comes in other colors and I think it looks so perfect for summer trips to pair with a good pair of sandals and a straw tote.
