The Sweater Jacket

Fall Outfit I Big Sweater + Ballet Flats

Car Coat I wit & whimsy @meghandono

Oh man do I live for oversized sweaters. They are just so cozy and one better? The kind that double as a jacket. When I saw this “sweater jacket” I had to have it because I knew how much wear I had gotten out of my beloved “coatigan” in the past. (Who comes up with these names by the way? Hilarious!)

But seriously this outfit is what I live for this time of year. It’s so easy and practical.

Fall Car Coat

This sweater style is so ideal for when the seasons just start to change. You don’t need a jacket per se but something to cover your arms. I layered it over this sleeveless mockneck shell that at under $40 I may buy in more colors for easy layering. As a head’s up, if you end up buying this sweater jacket, size down. I originally bought the S/M and then had to go back to exchange it for the XXS/S. It also comes in all black. I’ve also rounded up some cute similar styles below. (I particularly love the shape and pattern of this affordable one that would be great with booties – more stripes…shocker!)

Easy Fall Style

I shot these photos last Friday morning in Madison Square Park and the slightest hint of autumn was in the air. I took off the sweater to walk home with a total pep in my step as my favorite season starts to creep in on the streets of New York. (More on that tomorrow, in fact!)

I hope you’re all enjoying the week and are following along as I travel throughout Ireland (my road trip starts today!) Find me on Instagram and Snapchat.
