Favorite 2021 Purchases - Things I've Bought & Loved

As I continue to look back on 2021 this week, I am looking forward today to sharing with you some of my favorite purchases of the entire year. It’s always an endeavor to look back at what I purchased, where I invested and what brands I came back to time and time again.

So in the latest installment of Things I’ve Bought and Loved Recently, I present to you my favorite 2021 purchases. Tomorrow I’ll be sharing all my favorite beauty purchases and be sure not to miss my Favorite Amazon Purchases of 2021.

Things I’ve Bought and Loved – 2021 Edition

1. Hill House Nap Dress

I joined Nap Dress Nation in 2021 and haven’t looked back as I now own three of the styles! Truly the perfect live in it dress.

2. Outdoor Voices Long Sleeve Tee

I hate fitted long sleeve tees for working out so it’s often hard for me to find one I like. Last year the search finally ended and I fell in love with this tee. I got the M.

3. Jenni Kayne Cashmere Fisherman Sweater

Easily my most worn sweater of all of last year. It’s slouchy, soft perfection, looks great layered and is truly such a staple. I now own it in several colors because it’s an investment that’s gotten so much wear. I wear a M.

4. Lululemon All Yours Lightweight Tee

I love knotting this tee – I got it in both black and white. It’s the perfect lightweight and easy to throw on and go. I got the size 6 as it is really oversized.

5. Celine Classic Box Bag

Finally splurged on one of my dream bags when I was in Paris last Fall as a celebration of several work milestones I had achieved. It is every bit as good as I had imagined and I haven’t stopped carrying it since I brought it home.

6. Vuori Rib Studio Legging

These leggings with their chic yet subtle ribbed top that holds everything in were my favorite new pair of 2021. Don’t miss my other Favorite Leggings. I wear size Medium.

7. Agolde Parker Long Vintage Denim Shorts

Dare I say the best denim shorts ever? I lived in these all summer. They have such a flattering fit and I love the length of them – so many denim shorts are just too short!

8. M.M.LaFleur Curie Pants

These pants are magic! I couldn’t believe how much I like them. You could easily dress them up for work but they’re as comfortable as a legging. You can wear them with a mule, with a sneaker, with a pump or a flat – so, so versatile. I’m wearing them in these photos in a size 6 short.

9. Senreve Mini Maestro Bag*

Haven’t been able to stop carrying this bag ever since it came into my life! I love that it has a similar shape to one of my larger bags but is perfect for every day wear. Better yet? You can wear it 4 different ways! So brilliant. You can use this link to get $50 off your first Senreve purchase over $300.

10. Sam Edelman Laguna Boot

I first saw these waterproof boots on a friend last Winter and when I went to get them they were all sold out. So when I saw them restocked this season I snagged a pair.

11. Sarah Flint Perfect Dress Bootie*

Aptly named as they really are truly the best, most comfortable heeled bootie for dress up. I have logged many a mile in these since I got them. See them on in my Roundup of My Favorite Boots and Booties.

12. Aurate Mini Circle Ring

I picked this up during a sale Aurate ran as I continued to build out my investment in my every day jewelry. The quality is so good and this one is perfect for stacking. I’ve worn it pretty much every day since I got it.

13. Kinn Studio Dome Ring

This ring is just gorgeous and hasn’t left my finger since I got it. The perfect subtle, every day ring.

14. Cleancult Diswasher Pods

These little guys work magic! I was able to stop using a rinse aid because they work *that* well. The whole line of Cleancult is great, in fact. I love how environmentally friendly they are without sacrificing performance. You can use code witwhimsy for 30% off your purchase.

15. Brooklinen Linen Duvet Cover

French vintage-inspired perfection. I love the lived-in French countryside look of this cover and how easy it is to maintain.

16. Brooklinen’s Heathered Cashmere sheets

The dreamiest sheets maybe ever? They are truly heaven to sleep in during the colder months. I am obsessed.

17. Jenni Kayne Candles

Not only do I love how these chic candles look in my space, they also smell divine. The Basil, Cedar and Currant scents have been on rotation in my home all year long.

18. Jenni Kayne Bowls

Oh man do these bowls spark joy. I eat 90% of my meals at home out of bowls so I love having these as new additions for many of my Blue Apron creations.

And a few more items:

Sezane Leo Coat

Sezane makes such beautiful coats and as soon as I saw this one – with its tailored structure that could be dressed up or dressed down and its statement collar – I bought it in a size 8. It’s even more gorgeous in person.

AYR French Fry Striped Tee

The slogan for this tee is “because you can’t just have one” and I totally get it now. Slouchy and soft and able to be worn a myriad of way this tee comes in a variety of colors- I got the shade French Toast :).

Bearaby Weighted Blanket

I polled you guys last year on Instagram about weighted blankets and this was the most recommended and now I know why! It helps me sleep, it helps my anxiety when I’m having a tough day…it’s just so comforting. I totally get the hype now. I have the 15lb one!

. . .

There you have it! As always, you’ll see I prioritize investing in quality over quantity and regularly come back to the same brands I love and trust for quality pieces. I hope this inspires you as you make purchases throughout the year.

I’ve been wanting to try MM La Fleur’s pants. They look so good! And yay for a Celine splurge. That bag is timeless. You’ll have it forever!

Do you have a review of the Senreve bag? I like it as an alternative to the Celine belt bag and love the look when it’s held by the hand or the wrist. But I’m not sure I love the backpack straps and how it looks worn on the shoulder. Interested in your thoughts!

I don’t have a formal review but it’s definitely similar to the Celine Belt Bag (which I also own). I love that the Senreve Mini is slightly smaller though so it is a bit more practical for every day for me – I personally wouldn’t wear it as a backpack (not my style!) but I do love the option to be able to throw it over my shoulder when my hands are full. I would say I most often carry it with the top strap but for commuting or when I am carrying other bags, the shoulder strap is SO helpful!
