Weekly Roundup

Boyfriend Cardigan

I’m so relieved it is Friday. I need this weekend badly to try and reboot. It was one of those weeks that completely drained me mentally and emotionally and there were a lot of tears shed. I was so grateful I had all my blog posts done for the week and that I was able to reschedule some things on my calendar because my motivation levels were near zero. I have no plans tomorrow besides heading to mass but Sunday I’m looking forward to seeing a movie with some friends and then heading to the spa to get a massage and some R&R.

I hope you guys have a wonderful weekend-I’m grateful for your readership!

WHAT I DID THIS WEEK:

  • Started The Five Minute Journal. I’m excited to have a way to be more reflective. Have any of you tried it?
  • Last Friday I booked a trip to Australia for November! This was not a trip on my radar for this year but when I saw in a flight newsletter a fare for $600 Round Trip I bit the bullet and booked it! Send me any recommendations of where I should go in addition to Sydney and would love any restaurant recommendations, too!
  • Had a call with New York Cares to arrange a group volunteering outing – I’m hoping to get this scheduled on the books for next month so stay tuned for details if you’re NYC based. I would LOVE to meet you IRL as we do good in our community.

I feel like I always have so much to say about your weekly roundup! It’s such a bright spot of my Fridays 🙂
    1) you look so great in that photo, your hair is lovely!
    2) i’m doing a 3 year journal, where you write down a short snippet for each day for 3 years running. it’ll be neat to look back at what we were doing in the past few years one day!
    3) Australia – we’ve discussed this, so exciting! you’ll have to share your restaurant recommendations (although we’re going in a month so that’s not a lot of time, lol)
    4) love those travel feeling tips! i have some jewelry i bought on our honeymoon and i love wearing it 🙂 it takes me back!
    5) that Netflix show looks so good! i put it in my queue the other day, going to watch it after i finish Killing Eve season 1
    6) need that Everlane cashmere sweater! i keep hearing such good things, need to pull the trigger… except now i can’t decide what color!

hope you have a nice, restful weekend! i find that a relaxing weekend, especially if i focus more on my spiritual life, brings me back to center.

Love the idea of “focusing on spiritual life” – need to do that more often. Thank you for all the kind words & Feedback, Melanie! Always look forward to your comments!

oh man I’m so sorry you had a rough week! Sending hugs! xo

  4. Hi from Australia! Personally, I think you should definitely look for cheap flights to Melbourne while you’re here. It’s such a cool city and there are SO many amazing food options. In Sydney, Grounds of Alexandria is worth the hype!

  5. I’m so sorry you’re going through a hard time; I wish I lived closer so I could come around with movies and wine! Hope this week is a brighter one.

And thank you so much for including me; your blog is one of my few daily reads and I always love your weekly roundups, so it’s an honour to be included!

    Sending love,
