Whipping up a WITTY menu!

September 15, 2008

If you’re a WIT that likes to cook than I certainly have a culinary treat for you!

The absolute best cook book around is that of California Fresh Harvest: A Seasonal Journey through Northern California.

Compiled by the Junior League of Oakland, this book embraces what fresh cooking is all about. In-season ingredients make up the recipes in each of the four sections of the book- each attributed to one of the four seasons. Winter brings warm and cozy comfort foods while Summer offers recipes like strawberry shortcake and lemon curd scones.

Every recipe will make your mouth water and are bound to impress your guests. The grilled corn & goat cheese enchiladas are my favorite and the roasted herb potatoes are a staple in my kitchen. My girlfriends and I have had so much fun finding new favorites amidst the mouth-watering and gorgeous recipes in this book.

So if you don’t already have one, go out and buy a darling apron from Anthropologie and begin cooking up a storm. This book is guaranteed to help you put together the perfect, most witty menu!
