Cambria Hotels NightCap Program I wit & whimsy

Do you travel often for work? When I first started my career, I loved the thrill of traveling on someone else’s dime. It was exciting to see new places, be face-to-face with clients and rack up some credit card points and miles while I was at it. Nowadays, my business travel looks a bit different. But I have to say I still love discovering new hotels. And having time to myself at night to wind down with no distractions.

When I travel for client projects, the trips are typically dedicated to as much face-to-face time with them as possible. So the time I get to myself at night in my hotel is truly cherished. I live for getting in my pajamas, reading a book or turning on FRIENDS in a big hotel bed. When I do trips for blog-related content (like this trip to London), the days are so go-go-go that I can’t wait to get back to my hotel and wind down.

Recently Cambria Hotels, a line of upscale hotels dedicated to modern business travelers, reached out to me to experience their recently introduced Nightcap Menu.

The offerings are designed to provide guests with two new ways to enjoy a personalized capstone to their day and toast what they’ve achieved during the day.

Cambria Hotels NightCap Review

As background, the Nightcap Program was born out of a survey of 2,000 business travelers that resulted in some fun findings such as: 90% of business travelers want to end their day with a little luxury. Or a relaxing moment to themselves. And nearly 2/3 of business travelers prefer to end the day by winding down in their hotel room. These survey findings were used to curate the nightcap menu. I relate to the findings so much to this as when I travel there’s nothing I love more than ordering a cup of tea and a dessert to my room to enjoy in my pajamas. It feels so luxurious!

Cambria’s Nightcap menu isn’t just about the last cocktail before you hit the pillow – it has offerings like milk and cookies, a milk punch cocktail, face masks, shower bursts, and delicious chamomile lavender tea. Last week I headed to their hotel in Chelsea to try out the Nightcap program and had the most fun – as evidenced by these photos – eating milk and cookies, drinking tea, and checking out the property including the beautiful rooftop. It was such a nice staycation!

Some of my favorite tips for maximizing your nightcap when traveling for work?

I like to bring some travel size essential oils or sleep drops, an eye mask. And earplugs are always a must for me to ensure a good night’s sleep. I also love a good book and bringing a travel size face mask.
