Awakening New Lengths

The past year I’ve been loving sporting mini skirts (point in case here, here and here), but, come this spring I will be keeping an eye out for some new skirts on the lengthier side. I already love this one from ASOS, this one from modcloth, this one from ThreadSence, and finally this one from Nasty Gal. Oh, decisions, decisions…

Certain bloggers have  already been doing the long skirt thing for some time (Andy of Style Scrapbook loves herself some maxi skirts like this stellar one) and others have been showcasing them with this spring-like weather we’ve been having in San Francisco (like 9to5Chic and On the Racks).

Long skirts were all over the runways when it came to Ready to Wear for spring 2011. Just a few of my favorites are below.

Seen a great maxi? Let me know as I’m on the hunt!

3.1 Phillip Lim

ADAM

DKNY

J.Crew

Preen

Rag & Bone

Temperley London

The Row

I have been feeling very lukewarm about maxis until just this week! I am loving the pieces you’ve highlighted, it makes it less boho and more crisp which is more up my personal aesthetic alley that’s for sure! I particularly LOVE the J. Crew sequin maxi, yum!
