Styled 3 Ways: The Chambray shirt

I’m all for getting the most out of pieces in your wardrobe and after hunting for the perfect chambray shirt for months, I finally added one to my closet a couple of months ago and deemed it the next ideal piece for WIT & Whimsy’s ‘Styled 3 Ways’ series (see others here, here and here). Using this Delia’s blouse (at the bargain price of $39.50!), I styled 3 different looks inspired by the chambray button down and also by our onset of spring weather!

Spring is for skirts and this uber-ladylike look has me thinking of Sunday brunches, bridal showers and post-work cocktails on a sunny, warm day. Rosegold and gold accessories against the American-esque chambray is a pretty combo. (p.s. Cannot get enough of Carven of recent. Read more from modman here.)
I’m loving maxi skirts for spring and while this one is on the pricier side from Michael Kors, but Zara has some beautiful options for a much better price point. The pleats and slik with chambray and muted accessories is a perfect Saturday look.
Styled 3 Ways: Chambray 3

This last style was actually inspired by an ensemble I actually have worn of recent once I nabbed the Madewell silk safari shorts (mine are in army green). For now, I’ll be layering them with tights, but I love the laid back look of chambray paired against silk. Top the look with booties & a military jacket (like this one) and you have urban chic at its finest.
